Probably been discussed before but as I just drove the fastest ive ever been tonight (140 on a private road called the M8:D)
Previous top speed was in my first car 130 in a mk3 escort with an engine swap (god that was 17 years ago and it's taken this long to beat it) though I'm sure the speedo was being optimistic
mmmmmmmmmmmmm 171 n i **** out lol middle of the night oh ya was in dubai lol
thx amo

In the summer I regularly do 160 briefly on the way to Sainsburys at 6.30 am providing all 3 lanes of the m53 are empty-just a few moments of bliss!

Before people start posting, remember your speeding, and I recall reading once where a chap on a forum announced to the world what he was doing, where and when. The police got wind of it and he was taken to court and lost his licence, also his insurance company was shown what he had written on the forum, consequently he was dropped by the insurance agents.

Well chaps on that note think we should end this thread, we were all just joking anyway right?
Not that I'm worried I mean how could the police track me down? Not like I've got the only White nsx in scotland:D

No need to close it down, what you meant was, when you were on the autoban or maybe it was track??

164mph a few years back, definitely not on the M1.

A proven 166mph at bruntingthorpe runway and would have been able to eek some more mph if I had more than ~1.8 miles to do it in :)

168 at Bruntingthorpe..more likely 170 as the timing seems 2mph short on all runs.

I've actually been as fast in my ITR as I have in the NSX - mainly down to opportunity. ~140 indicated in each car. And to be honest, on a public road that's about the most I'd want to do - stuff comes up REALLY quickly at those speeds, and I take the cowards approach of backing right off before passing stuff.
Topped the ton more in the NSX - so easy to do, esp. on Autobahn/route/strada...seems to be its natural cruising 'gait'.

And I find the derestricted autobahn a good place to confirm those years of R&D where successful ....

Only in theory, there may not be a speed limit, out of the towns, but there aren't any straights long enough... and there just might be a mad biker coming the other way! Most people tend to circulate clockwise as they do for the races though. The run down to to Creg-ny-Baa on the mountain course is 100+mph in an NSX tho' :)
