Hi, I don't have a picture to show you but you will find it on top of the gearbox/clutch housing case. It should have ametal guard around it with slots cut in it.

i had to change mine last year after it died , it's a pain, but do-able. its on the top of the gearbox, rear passenger side near the end of the rear cylinder bank .

look down the back of the engine between the window catch and the rear cylinder head. it's under the vtec solenoid (green connector) and you can just see the louvred 'screen' around it. it's awkward!! getting it off is ok, getting it back on is the annoying bit, i ended up making the 'screen' slotted so i could fit the sensor and mounting screws first, then slide the screen into position before tightening it all up. access if from topside and below!!

in the pic, the shiny silver screw is one of 3 holding it on!

Hi, paulc.
Good luck with the DIY and just double check to order the correct VSS sensor for your NSX.
The sensor on the original model had the fly lead with the connector coming out of the sensor body where as the later ones will have the connector built into the sensor body itself.

By the way, did you get my email the other day?
I was not sure whether you have registered your latest email address to your NSXCB account or not.

Many thanks Kaz will check. Yes got your email had problems with my email address in the process of changing providers. I think I will decline your offer, I really need to get the body work sorted, mine was a cat d and the panel alignment and paint work needs some serious money spent on it. But once that is sorted I would love to use services.

Cheers
