Time to introduce my NSX....(now in the right thread)
I bought it about 2 months ago in Germany. There were only two being offered in the Netherlands of wich one was yellow (wanted red) and the other or actually both were overpriced.
Ended up with at a german Honda dealer who as I later found out also drives a heavily modified NSX and was well known at the Nurburgring for racing his NSX. He had a NSX from the first owner for sale with just over 100.000 km's on it. After some emailing I took the quattroporte and went to pick her up.
The car is in excellent condition I asked him to put new tyres on and he serviced the car with new oil and a new oil pan gasket. The historie of the car is flawless... every 10k km's it was serviced by Honda. The paint on the car is in excellent condition...never resprayed besides the front bumper due to some stone chipping. Interior looks perfect...not a single scratch on the leather or dirty spot on the carpet. Radio works, airco works, everything did what it's supposed to do. I am almost secure enough to say it was in concours condition. The drive back was way to quick though.

Offcourse I said I wasn't going to change anything and keep it all oem. But then I started really reading nsxcb and prime...sadly thats were I started ordering some stuff....nothing really huge but I broke my promise after just 4 or 5 days.
This is what I ordered and should be coming in somewhere this week.
- Topspeed headers
- Taitec GTLW
- Testpipes
- Downforce air intake with foam filter
- Taitec silencers
- New gaskets for the valva covers and intake manifold
- NSX custom cover from gcon45 (fits perfectly)
The above list will most liukely be fitted somwhere next week.
I also decided to paint my valve cover and intake manifold. They are at the carshop at the moment together with the oem brace strut to be painted in structured red not wrinkeld. I am still thinking about the plastic covers to have the painted chroom.... but it may just become too much bling. So ill hold with that for the time being.
Thing I also noticed is that the rims are a bit out of this time and don't really compliment the car anymore. Huge gap between the tyres makes it look a little off too... most off you will probably agree. So on a night out with my buddies I came up with these.....

But the next day when I woke up with a huge headache I thought..... maybey this is not the way I wanna go.
My 2 options are the '98 seven spoke ones or the '02 ones. Both are nice rimes but in my opinion I actually like the seven spoked ones better plsu they are somewhat cheaper to buy. So if you have a set you want to get rid of shoot me a PM with a normal price.
What i am wondering is if I should lower the car a bit aswell or will this not be necessary but if so what are the best options? Just springs?
Last but not least I am looking for a nice engine cover... I have seen the carbon ones with the glass in em but find them a little pricey and a mess NSX-R one is just waaaay over priced. I was gonna leave my stock cover alone but looking at the prices I might have a car shop check it out to see if they van makes something nice out of it. Do we have any members here that modified their engine covers? If so can you post a pic on what it now looks like?
Loooooong blablabla story I know.... hope I didnt waste your time...
Some pics of the still oem NSX...
