Nice note! Very high pitched. Love seeing the JDM NSX brake with the extra lights.

I like the noodle exhaust sound but in the end the weight and efficiency of the GTLW got me. Plus it keeps the deeper NSX character like the SuperGT NSX:

You all talk about my red NSX being slow.....its not.....its just me that drives slowly so as much as I love the sound that Pauls car makes I doubt I would get the same effect!

My Taitec GTLW and Topspeed headers will be installed next week. I also have the SOS test pipes but someone told me that if I would install the test pipes aswell the car will be far too loud. Any experience on that matter?

I still like the Tubi. I admit there is a small amount of drone at around 2500 rpm, but it's very unobtrusive the rest of the time, and it sounds great when you wind it up or under load.
Some of the others sound great but I just couldn't live with the constant noise and droning regardless of throttle position and engine speed. It seems with most aftermarket systems you get either great noise but with drone or reasonable noise with no drone. I've never heard one that does both.
Cheers,
James.

No criticism of you Paul. I am saying that I drive like an old woman and wouldnt get the samebeautiful noise you do!
Hi James,
You mentioned Tubi, is that with the tester pipes on or off? Would you recommend the tester pipes to be put on? Or just put the Tubi?
Cheers,
Andy

Hi Andy,
Personally, and I like subtle. I'd leave the cats on. For real world driving that system sounds great that way.
However, if you like noise I guess it would sound pretty awesome with test pipes. I guess it's down to your noise tolerance and where you drive the car. I bought a group M intake when I first got an NSX and found it to be so painfully drony I sold it after a few months, but other people love them. So again preference.
Cheers,
James.
The tubi with test pipes will require some headache tablets.
Maybe it's best I left them off then :) and just fit the tubi part.
Cheers,
Andy

Lol. I thought someone had pressed 'mute'.
Would love to know where the footage ended up that was taken by Hong's crew in the BMW.

I can't recommend the PRIDE V2 enough, it sounds very similar to my friends F360 with a Capristo straight through :) Very cool!
Ill expand on this; I had it measured at 99db so it's very loud, but no drone at all and very civilised with the windows up! My partner will even tolerate it which is astonishing by itself. It's a remarkable piece of kit, I have never had an exhaust like this before. There is very little bass so just high pitched wailing which gives the car an exotic note to match the exotic looks.
I have a short flyby clip on YouTube, I'll try and link it when I get on a PC. Here is the clip:

That was the morning I installed it, it has got slightly louder over time :)

good point ... It didn't even make it into his full length video. Might be worth a PM to Hong?

I absolutly adore Ferraris, but I prefer the NSX to sound like an NSX.

I'm not loving it. Just my opinion, but to me the NSX is a subtle considered car. That could be any loud RR.
However, the system does look really well made.
Cheers,
James.

Mines a loud considered car. :D
The best is subjective and the best exhaust for a blast is not the bet when you want to have a conversation with your passenger.

I've owned some very loud cars and the NSX is a great combination of a nice exhaust note when pushed but quiet when driven sedately. I think I must be getting old next I'll prefer the auto version

I have had the stock, Comptech, Taitec GT light weight, RF Yamamoto titanium, Advanced titanium and now my last one AP-X. For APX is hands down the winner. Smooth sounding, no drone, rattle or buzz. Being multi piece, it allows me to adjust the tips for perfect alignment. All other exhausts, the tips always are not lined up nicely.

Zero Drone is fully adjustable. Apx is a copy of a gruppe m but allows for cats. Similar to Dali gruppe N

That's good to know you exhaust is adjustable as well. Not many out there that are. I need to run cats on my car as there random smog check points where I am from so the APX works out just fine.
