Interesting, what do they charge for a belt service?

I was charged £400...for the job...after supplying some of the parts myself I would recommened buying "dalis" kit I think its $640...plus post oh and duty of cause but it is the cheapest way of going...I was very happy with the work done to the car

The price is not too bad for a high profile nsx specialist, and if the work was good then it might be worth thinking about.

The Black NSX at plans was mine, they had it for a few weeks for upgrades and to have a scratch on the rear wing resprayed.

Had Type R suspension fitted as well as a new interior as the old was getting a bit dated, also had a new A frame rear strut brace installed to stiffen it up a bit. The advantage of using plans is they have the track at Dunsfold (where Top Gear is filmed) to set the car up properly and they specialise in mid engine car handling. They are also a lot cheaper than Honda and in my opinion more professional. I have had mine serviced by an NSX approved dealer for the last 6 years but will not be taking it back to them. Quality of work and attitude is a lot better at plans, they even delivered the car back to my home (45 miles) for no charge.

So far have not driven it too extreme, but the handling is now a major improvement over standard suspension, its a lot firmer but not too bad!
Recomended for people who want to upgrade but dont want the harshness of a full track set up.

Thanks to David & Rob Fenn for putting me on to them and selling me the bits! and to Graham & the guys at plans for doing a great job!

P.S will have some bits to sell sometime soon

By way of comparison for cambelt only pricing I spoke with Plans (very polite and helpful on the phone).

Plans price for the 3.2 is ITR of £650 inclusive and would take 8 hours.

Norton Way and the ever helpful Brian have quoted £540 inclusive for the same job, and includes the courtey car and Honda stamp in the service book.

Simon,

You're just worried its another Orange one to cramp your style at meets

Come on then Senninha what colour is she?

Matt.

Its been a long and interesting search and I've considered several approaches to NSX ownership including early UK, import and of course which model, NA1, NA2, manual or auto :?

As for colour, IOP was really top of the list (strong Senna reference and looks stunning IMO), or a dark colour as these really show of the lines of the NSX. Simon, you're ok as I couldn't find a straight IOP!

After the S2000 we couldn't imagine living without the option of open air motoring or the 6 speed box. Once we'd agreed on this (and of course the higher budget 8) ) it was time to look in earnest for the right NSX.

We have now found this car and will be collecting a 3.2 manual NSX-T in Magnum Grey Pearl on Saturday :D

I shall upload some pictures on a new thread after collection, (can't seem to upload any tonight).

For now, I'd like to extend a big thanks to all here who have offered help and guidance over the past months and I look forward to meeting many more of you soon

Cool, another targa! I think you'll really enjoy the open air motoring :)
The engine sounds that little bit better with the roof off.

Hopefully see you at some of this years events.

Best regards,

James.

V6NSX sounds OK (IOP targa on a 99, but £37k)

But I am guessing it's this one ;)

I viewed this car aswell a few weeks ago and I thought it was great and Steven is a nice genuine guy, I decided to go for the newer 03 model I also viewed but I think you have got a good car.

I have only owned mine for two weeks but it is superb, if only it would stop raining I might stretch her legs a little !!

Good luck with your car

Cheers
