I feel more comfortable posting a video of my car with plate numbers here than on prime. So you guys please feel free to comment good and bad.

BTW, love the Silverstone, probably my favourite NSX colour.

Great looking car. I think a badge on the nose would even it up a bit. Who would have thought black intakes would work so well.

Cheer.

Great looking car, especially the black working with the car's dark
silvery/greyish colour. Makes the car look stealthy & a little mean!

I have toyed with the idea of upgrading to another set of alloy wheels
in black, which would also give me more tyre options.

Very nice mate and thanks for sharing!

i would agree with above, you need a nice badge up front ... The NSX-R badge would be ideal

Great looking car. Stance is just right and the black looks menacing

Thanks guys, my next plans are to paint the calipers and rotor hats silverstone. It's going to be a lighter background against the wheel spokes, and make the wheels more "visible" as a whole (although it is more so even now than my photos and video show). I am also lowering the front 1/4" more to create more rake, right now the rake is slightly less than stock. I want to go back go the stock rake. I am also putting on a strip of silverstone vinyl on the center section of the R wing, just the very end of it. Only about 1-2" of the lip that curls upwards. Just to tie wing into the car a bit more.

On the front emblem, I understand most people's eyes look for something there normally because most cars have one there but what is pretty about it? It's kind of an eyesore to me, as is the black keyhole, the antenna, and all other emblems which I removed. Why clutter a clean front end with one? If you guys feel strongly about this I will seriously consider putting it back on. What is on your cars? The standard "H"? I can get an Acura "A", paint it black and put it on. Or I can have the letters NSX machined from aluminum and anodized black and install front and rear... For something high quality and a bit more unique? Thoughts?

I'm a sucker for the pop-up front badge. I think it looks classier than the silver facelift item. I don't dislike the badge delete, I just think the badge helps to break up the front end.

Cheers.

I think it's kind of a wart on the car's nose. It's just that when you are used to always seeing a badge there, and then it's not there, it looks like something is "missing". Taking that off was no easy task. The bumper had to be removed, holes filled and painted/blended. If I install it again, I would have to shave off the pins and use double-stick tape. I would definitely do black if I did. No chromey bright stuff. It had that Chrome Acura A before.

The badges on the UK facelift cars are stuck on. Personally I'd go for either a black pop-up badge or a painted facelift badge.

Cheers.

Hi Dave,

Thanx for the video, helps show off the rims better than just photos .... Still needs the silverstone brake detailing, and I'm interested in by the rear spoiler detail you mention.

As for the badge, it's one of those marmite questions, but in this instance it 'works' because you've debadged the rear as well.

still think it needs the same front lip as Synth19,

any interior updates other than the window tints and your ICE

regards, Paul

Paul my phone cam still doesn't pickup the wheels that well, it comes out much darker than it is, but it will really brighten up with the calipers and hats silver. I did a quick photoshop and immediately it made the spokes stand out more and made them look longer.

The rear spoiler... I've always been torn on the R spoiler. I've likes its aggressive quality, and like all the carbon weave you clearly see in the sun, but its design doesn't follow the car. Some people paint it, but all that does is it increases the fender height as it continues up the spoiler side. I suggested a while back some do a photoshop in body color not the sides, but the center. That would help it become "part" of the car, while leaving the sides carbon would not vertically stretch the fenders. Here is one of those results:

http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa91/turbo2go/nsx_wing_merged1.jpg

Then later I thought that I don't want to cover the entire wing and the carbon, so I came up with the idea of doing just the last inch or two of the wing, just like a gurney flap style.... This look, but without any add-on piece:

http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa91/turbo2go/fdd4a8262385a5796552b1f9af0293b4_zps64d69a22.jpg

so that is my plan to make the end of the spoiler silverstone and have this thing blend with the car.

still think it needs the same front lip as Synth19,

i don't like that lip. It is the same height all the way across and to me all the best lips are ones that are lower profile center, and wider at the edges... Or taller rather. That's what I like about my Cantrell lip, but the downforce lip will work better for my vision. So I plan on painting it silverstone, and plan on leaving this small side scoop are black. I want to slowly blend the silver to black in front of this scoop. It'll be small, and subtle. This part:

http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa91/turbo2go/d_29911.jpg

Notice the way this lip is fatter on the outer ends as well as the Cantrell that I have now.

I have also thought about blacking out the A pillars. I've looked a lot at the NSX's with black canopies versus colored tops. I like certain elements of each. While all black makes for a nice jet fighter look, it shortens the height of the car and not in a good way. The standard colored roofs keep the height normal but that is mainly the B pillar. Visible A pillars never seem to enhance a car's look. I found one photo of two yellow NSX's side by side so I did this:

I like that windshield wraparound look. Anyway I would do it just by vinyl so it's reversible.

I changed my door inserts to factory silverstone color. They are now 2 tone. I did the same with my streeing wheel, still not happy with it, so I have to just upgrade the while wheel. Also have the R knob and boot. I plan on getting some seats, but that's my next massive group buy on prime after the supercharger. LOL By the way maybe I should tell the guys on this board about the now 32 person group buy of Comptech supercharger systems. Needless to say I am getting a very low price.

One last thing i want to do which is too late, is to have carbon on the underside of the R vent. Basically the section circled in red here:

A good vinyl shop should be able to take a photo of your CF and produce a matching wrap for the hood inserts ...

Nice wheels, I'm another who likes the car to have the badges on.
