TOKYO, Japan - Honda agreed with TDK Corporation and Japan Metals & Chemicals Co., Ltd. to jointly pursue the reuse of a rare earth metal extracted from nickel-metal hydride batteries in hybrid vehicles for magnets of new hybrid vehicle motors.
