hey guys, just reading through pistonheads and spotted this.
http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=27888
so would you sell your nsx for one of these?
get a yellow one with viper stripes and you can pretend its bumble bee lol.

Certainly would be nice to have a big muscle car but no way would I sell my car for something like this. I would question reliability and drivability and above all build quality.
The last point being the big ? mark for me on the new NSX, aside from likely price!

the price is interesting for the muscle car. no idea if they are any better in corners now a days.
it'll be interesting to see how they'll sell in the UK and the depreciation etc.
nsx prices have shot up again from the ads section.

now if you had put up a late 60's coke bottle Camero with a meaty v8 then the question would be more difficult... But for a new Camero... No!

No I would not!
It would take something very special (and an order of magnitude more expensive) to tempt me out of my NSX: F1, Stratos, Pantera. And when I can afford to have one of those, I can afford to have an NSX on the side anyway! :)

I am very much with Jonathan.....the new car does nothing for me, but this, whilst very much the antithesis of the NSX, appeals greatly:

Similar price to the new one (exl. shipping etc.) too!

Haha some us think alike. Here's a couple of pics of my '74 450SL... we call it the Bobby Ewing car :)

Hi Paul
I just missed one, it 1986 300SL, ok had 100k but was immaculate, and in the fastest colour (red) lol..the guy had owned for last ten years and it only went out when the sun came out! Up for 14k, offered it to me for 11500.00 I was very close but when my 16 year contract ( started as a 3 month deal) got outsourced it made think twice, turns out its now gone, sold for 10k! Bit of a classic, and will probably only go up in value, sounds like the NSX then.

Hi Paul,
Yeah, theres a few money pits out there but they built enough that you can find good ones. TBH, the way I drive these days the NSX is excessive and one of these is far more suited to relaxed cruising, plus all 4 us coud enjoy the ride ...

That could be considered child abuse ;) These cars are smaller than you think and rear seats (if fitted) have almost no legroom. Just about OK for taking a 3rd mate, sitting sideways in the back, to the pub :)

I want that one...
I'd really like one of these for sunny days before the prices go out of reach. NSX stays for the moment...

Indeed, the sensible MB to get for seating four is the W124 cabrio.
(But, even as a very big pre-1990 MB fan, I can't believe any of you guys could be tempted from the NSX in that direction!)

interesting to read your comments.
i suppose its a case of growing up with alot of your choice of cars and so you get to an age when you can finally buy one.
the merc's are a good choice, as so reliable compared to the modern day versions and when you see the original muscle cars
you see why they were called it to begin with and the stuff coming out now is just not the same.

I'd be looking to go in an alternative direction next, I still have my eye out for one of these.

I don't think I could ever part with the NSX!? It would have to take something ultra special to do so
and I wouldn't be able to afford it anyway! But if I had the money, I would keep the NSX & get
another special motor!

I would definitely not sell the NSX for the Camaro. It's a cool car but just too big and heavy for the UK roads imo. There are very few cars i think i would sell the NSX for? Ferrari 360CS maybe?
If i had my heart set on another car, i think i would wait until i was in a position to purchase it without having to sell the NSX.
