Search Kaz's blog with 'Koyo Radiator', for an option. Will come in at around half the price of the OE one.

Mishimoto sell a similar version of the Koyo, see Britludes build thread. I vaguely recall that the Mishimoto needs a slight mod when fitting.

Hi, madras.

The radiator is a consumable parts and OEM one is using the recycled aluminium with two plastic tanks crimped at the top and the bottom. Therefore, sooner or later, it will leak around the crimped section or crack at the tank especially around the coolant hose neck at the bottom side.
By now, almost 50% of the radiator fins were already squashed and the cooling efficiency is significantly reduced.
It's one of the most neglected parts on any cars and while it could be fine for street usage, highly recommended to check the status before each session on track day meeting.

As NSXGB mentioned, please use the ‘tag search’ feature inside the blog section using ‘koyo’ or ‘koyo radiator’ as the key word.

My purchase and installation experience with the original feedback from our member BabyG;

It’s full aluminium construction so unlike OEM one, it won’t crack at the tank.
I always bought it from the same seller in US.
Even after paying for the delivery, import tax, Parcel Force fee, the total is about GBP360 delivered and with its build quality, I don’t see much point in getting the OEM one unless you have a special deal from Honda.

In fact, I will be installing another one for the owner within a few days and I’ll be updating my blog.

Mishimoto one is OK but you will need to cut some of the plastic shroud during the installation and as I don’t know the back ground of this manufacture, never used it for other owners.

Koyo is very famous among car manufactures as their OEM parts supplier. Lots of Japanese GT racing teams are using it as well.
It’s also well known for the manufacturing of custom made aftermarket parts and many NSX specialist in Japan are using it for their own branded racing radiator.

If you are replacing your radiator, you may want to order the bolts holding the radiator fan shroud as they could be very rusty especially the bottom side ones.

I replaced my radiator with a mishimoto one, and the only slight mod was on the plastic radiator shield, but it was minor and didnt take very long. The whole remove old fit new radiator took about 20 minutes alll in.

Hope that helps

i think i got a mishimoto one.... not sure, it was a while ago. the fn mounting tabs were about 1/2 inch too far one way, they all line up, just over too far so a little trimming of the plastic was needed near the top hose. not really an issue.

there's plenty of choice on the bay, everything from £150ish upwards. certainly no need to go for a honda one!

Had a small rad leak last season, but local rad repair specialists were able to sort out all the issues and give my rad a new bill of health for 60 quid. Think it was detaching from the main core and a few issues with it too. But so far so good. I would personally look at any alternative rather than pay rip-off OEM price
