Hi, marco.
Honda modified the design of the locking mechanism module several times during the production of NSX so it’s not easy to advise without looking your NSX.
If you can open the door from the inside (wire cable) but not from the outside (linkage rod), then most of the time, it was caused by the small plastic disc popping out from the locking mechanism.
This disc holds the linkage rod from the outer handle to the locking mechanism and since the disc is plastic, it could wear out and allowing the rod to pop out or most of the time, it just simply got broken and dropped down to the bottom of the door panel.
If you search the inside bottom section of the door panel towards the rear end, you may be able to find the broken disc.
It’s a very cheap parts but you will need tiny finger/hand or nice tool to replace it.
I have never seen a broken outer handle but if that is the case, then I’m afraid, the rear sash has to be removed from the door.
The outer handle is attached to the rear sash with several screws and unfortunately, without taking the rear sash out of the door panel, you can’t access some of them.
No need to remove the door glass. Just keep it lowered.
The rear sash is one of the parts used for adjusting the alignment of the door glass so please make sure to mark the existing position of the locknut before removing the rear sash.
Otherwise, you are going to spend all day adjusting the glass alignment.
Enjoy.....
Kaz
