GROUP BUY - NSX-R Boot Spoiler [Archive]

We have the NSX-R rear spoiler currently in production, hopefully ready in around 5 weeks or so, it will come with a brake light too. If I can get 5 or more people interested, the price will be €800 EURO plus delivery.

Can be finished in most contrasts,

FRP/Carbon
Full All Carbon
Plain FRP

Or if you have any other suggestions let me know.

You might want to contact Geoff..... He's normally quick off the mark with the deals on the go!! He want's big spoiler to slow hi down even more than normal.... Woudn't want him to miss out on another GB chance....

If it was good enough for the revived, "MOST EXPENSIVE" NSX available, then surely good enough for everyone else? how fast can you really go on legal roads? I would have though downforce would be more important for grip rather than top end for most?

My current car has done 214mph, depending on the article you read, but I'll never see that on these roads. Happy though with the 0-60 lol.

Is it OEM replica of DF style with the shorter (and for me) cosmetically improved lines?

shipping: shipping can't be quoted as product isn't finished, so don't have exact weight and boxed dimensions, plus if there were orders going further than UK then price including shipping would be different

I think this comment is unfair after reading it again. :(

first off he is under no obligation to order.

Secondly the spoiler is in production and as you well know Sudesh will provide pictures when he has them. if you know his refresh thread and other NSX bits he has been involved with for NSXCB members you would know this. The thread also showcases current products so you can see the craftsmanship already.

Pics will be made available for everyone to see before any order is made by anyone on here if interested in purchasing. If you want to buy then great, if not then no harm done.

I think when you order one Geoff and it's made, you'll get pictures?

We are just trying to build a product for those members who want an NSX-R spoiler and it will be as good as quality as we can make. I say we as I have a vested interest in this product line

There's a brand new one popped up for sale on Prime recently, but be aware that it will be the wrong colour (slightly different shade).

If you source one, I might be interested in your old one for a project...assuming it's blown LEDs that is the problem?

Hi Suddish
Looks really nice .I am interested in one of these ,can the LED brake light be replaced if it fails and do you supply that as a aftermarket product . What would the cost be?

Hi Mark, its "Sudesh" lol,

Yes the lamp can be replaced, just like the OEM it's bolted into the spoiler too. Spare lamps are available too.

Spoilers are €800 euro.

Is it possible to make the LED light strip to run from across the whole undersurface (make is as long as possible) like the OEM standard spoiler LED light bar?

Like SS above, I like the idea of a full length brake light - reusing the existing light would make some sense.

I guess it's not 'NSX-R' but to be honest, we're only kidding ourselves that we are turning our cars into R's!

Hi Kare,

unfortunately it's not possible, the OEM long brake light, is too long to fit the NSX-R one. This was the first thing I checked when making them. The NSX-R one tapers in at the top so the width is much smaller than the standard spoiler.
