Good morning. My first post on the site as I've just joined the club and just purchased my first NSX. I bought Jame's red 2004 manual coupe last week, 13k miles.

Delighted with the car and my first time behind the wheel of an NSX. Its a small world as I found out the person who owned the car before James was one of my bosses!

I live in Coventry - but work almost 100% in London. The NSX is the first car in about 15 years that's not a 911. I've been waiting patiently for a good NSX example to come on the market - and took the plunge - and really glad I did. I'm selling my 2007 997 turbo - (if interested - shout out - its on ebay and pistonheads - the black manual car). I have a nice, low miles, original 1989 Carrera 3.2 coupe to keep the NSX company in the garage. I'll post some pictures of the two together when I get the chance.

I've been spending a few hours concreting the drive/garage entry to avoid the NSX bottoming out on the front nose. Interesting that the turbo does not ground the NSX does.

If anyone is going to the Coventry Festival of Motor in August - I'll be putting the 89 Carerra on display on the Saturday and the NSX on display on the Sunday. Would be great to catch up with any club members. Talking of which - are there any club members in or around the Coventry area? I'm pretty sure I've seen a blue NSX around Earlsdon a couple of times.

That's all from me for the time being. Very pleased to be in the NSX club and part of the driving/owning experience. Finally, a big thank you to James for being a great help in buying the car and selling me a really lovely, cherised example.

Gary

Hi Gary, welcome to the forum. That looks like a lovely car you have there. I'm a big Porsche fan too, are you on 911uk?

Hi Gary, congrats on the car. James was over at my place earlier this year with his (now your) red 2004 - it's a beautiful car. I live in L/Spa, so you may have seen me driving around the Cov area once in a while in my LBBP. In any event, it'd be great to get together some time. I'd never even heard of the Cov Festival of Motoring until now. If I can arrange things with the missus and kids, I might try to pop over. Meanwhile, if you fancy catching up to compare notes, let me know.

Cheers,
Mani.

Hi Gary,

I'm in Stratford upon Avon, so pretty local too.

If you're free this weekend, get yourself over to the Silverstone Classic - lot of us there this weekend, and it's a great event (if you've not been already with the Carrera). Advance ticket sales finish today, but a couple of people have odd tickets for sale on here (Olly's got a couple, I've got a Sunday), and I've got a spare infield parking pass that you'd just need to get re-registered at the gate.

Cov Festival in August - will have a look.

Failing that, there's a local PH car meet the first Tues of every month - good bunch of guys. Been a bit quiet recently, so we're relocating to the Falcon at Hatton on Tuesday week - be nice to see a couple more NSX owners there...

Thanks. I'm not going to make Silverstone I'm afraid.... Went last year as part of the 50th anniversary for 911. I had a 1970 2.2 (sold about 3 months ago - something had to go to fund the NSX!). It's a great day out. My weekend will be more concreting the drive to get the NSX out of the garage!

Regards to all on here and hope you are well and taking advantage of this fine weather.

Mmmm... now that's a small coincidence, MC now has my Red NA2 (trust it's still going!) and this week end I'm planning to pick up a low miles 1989 Carrera 3.2

I have done about 1000 miles in it so far, no problems and a lot of fun. It is currently at a well known NSX specialist for a service. I should have it back next week.

Hi Mani. Certainly. Yes, catch up would be great. Do check out the Cov festival. Been last few years. A wide mix of cars - classic and modern.

There is a Porsche forum meeting in Meriden on the last Thursday of each month. I will be attending in my NSX if anybody fancies making a guest appearance. They are a bunch of friendly petrol-heads, you would be very welcome.
I can't make the Coventry festival, I will be touring around Scotland in the NSX :)

Not really. I'm in West Bridgford, south side of Nottm. I make the trip when I can because they are a fun bunch. A good excuse for a drive on a summer evening. I do get my leg pulled for rarely turning up in a Porsche. This month will be no exception.

Hi Gary, another belated welcome :-)

I'm based in Redditch, so quite local. I've been an NSX owner for about 18 months and I've only really met one other local owner (Andy, above), so it'll be good to arrange a get together at some point.
