Has anyone had this rattle or might know cause? Metallic sounding, like a plate or something, coming from front left corner. Sounds behind glove box but a little further forward. Almost like where front damper mounts the body. Is there anything under plastic trim in front of windscreen? Is there anything under wheel arch liner? Its defo rattle, not suspension or anything serious. If someone has had it, might save me a whole bunch of time. Cheers. Gary

It's hard to understand what kind of metal noise you are getting without video or something so I can only speculate.

If you have aftermarket coilover kit and if it came with pillow ball top mount, then it can make some clicking noise when going over the speed hump.

If you have the Type-R compliance pivot lower bar with normal anti-roll bar, it will hit each other from time to time.

If you still carry your old spare wheel/tyre, it could rattle if the tie-down bolt was partially loose.

If the compliance pivot has shifted vertically and showing tiny gap, it will make clicking noise. Very common on our NSX.

EPS rack and the lower/upper ball joints will also make metal clicking noise if they are showing the first sign of failure.

Brake caliper slider pin and brake pad itself can rattle as well. You can test these by applying gentle brake pressure while going over the speed hump.

And of course, it could be completely different thing.....

Thanks Kaz

Turns out it was a loose electrical box located behind the glove box (had to remove the aluminium foot plate to get at it). Bolt tightened up and packed with small piece of foam rubber. Rattle gone! Result.
