This has been a long time in waiting for this particular mod to my NSX, and one I thought I would not achieve as production of the part stopped nearly 2 years ago ....
However, in early January I received a mail from Thomas at Downforce with a question ... Would I be interested in a joining a limited edition parts run?
I said yes and a few weeks ago a large, very light box arrived ....
During the time whilst waiting for said box, I purchased another item from member Metabro, many thanx for your help, and set about some custom fabrication.
Yesterday I did the test fitting for the part. Pretty much spot on first time, however following discussion with the local engineering firm we are going to modify the bracket design.
So a few photos to show what Ive been upto ... and why I spent several evenings in Spring sat in the car with a needle a thread ... it was to complete the interior refresh by co-ordinating the dash stitching to the new seats.

Well you how it goes Kare, post a thread of a new mod that is very rare, then add 3 pics that are upside down, and the focus looks like they did in the old days to make people look good, little Vaseline on the lens lol

I think they look great Paul. I know it's a mod you've wanted to do for a while. Glad you got it sorted.
Cheers.

Thanx James ... they are rediculously light and feel very comfortable. Looking forward to getting the revised brackets so can mount both and go for a drive!

Yes, will be paying a visit to the trimmers as the wheel and seats match perfectly, just wondering if there's a little 'twist' in design to make them bespoke to the car ... dont suppose you have a spare set in your spare NSX stores Simon?

You soon want to do the same leather look to the rest of the interior....door cards...central storage lids, ...rest of door...dash...where will it end??!! It's will be like going to Saville Row and ordering a suit Jacket and not the trouser...LOL
Will chase Trimmer for you Simon.

Why didn't you do it the other war round and get zebra skin for the seats etc to match the carpet?
Pimp my ride and all that!

At least, the seat was already done by Honda.
The proper 'zebra' seat on Honda Beat.....

Are the carpets actually Zebra striped or is that just the 'effect' made by using a vacuum cleaner? carpet pile dragged opposite ways?
Sudesh
17-08-2014, 08:49 PM
lol, it's the way the vacuum makes the pile. Like cutting the grass. Allot of valeters choose this method too.

lol, It does state photos to follow! Have to prepare the vehicle plus with the Irish weather being the way it is, I'd rather wait for a good dry day to do the job right.
