Price range from £27K to £35K

Clearly there are so many interior changes and wheel and suspension modifications etc. and a lot of money spent to get the 'look'.

What are current general opinions on Widebody modifications....?

Not my taste, but well done IMHO.

All white car looks very angular - loses the fluidity of the original body shape, but more muscular like the Super GT cars.

Black bonnet looks out of place to me - loses the impact of the black canopy. Deep Dish wheels look huuuuge!

To me, the wide body modification modernises the NSX to a certain point giving it a more muscular look. This seems to be in keeping with the way most modern super cars are going. Obviously this isn't to every ones taste and for some the sleeker standard body is perfection which i would never argue with.

I think the 2nd wide body NSX with the black hood looks the better of the 2. The first one looks too square where as the 2nd NSX is just right and has curves in the right places, plus the fit of the wheels looks much better as well. I think they are BC forged rims 19x11 ET15 at the rear and 18x8.5 ET21 at the front. It is a similar look I may be aiming for with regards to the alloys on my wide body NSX (if i can ever get it to run properly hehe).

I think one of the best Wide body kits can be seen in the following link

Hi SS,

hope your keeping well mate :)

i like the the first wide body....but would look better with the vent scoop through the rear engine hatch to finish it off.

i prefer the second one, ok the black/carbon bonnet desperately needs to be body colour, but the rest of it is lovely! the cars curves are naturally expanded to give the wide body, and it makes a change for the rear wings to still blend with the original wing line of the boot (ok, it has a type-r wing, but the other kits i've seen have bad lines over the back lights!)

i know the first car is following the gt championship inspired lines, but that style always looks to me like it's been covered in cornflake boxes!

Nice conversions but not my cup of tea, although I concur with Britlude about the second
model about keeping the car one colour & its got great curves!

I like it, has a liberty walk / RWB / Rocket bunny style without the rivets.

Apparently this is a work in progress, the owner wanted it ready for SEMA but couldn't quite finish it in time though he took it anyway.

One of the best looking wide body kits I've ever seen on a road car, suble yet at the same time real in your face aggressive, I love it.:)

One problem with all widebodies is that they ruin the handling unless £££ is spent in engineering a new suspension. You cant move the wheels out 5+ inches and expect the hubs, bearings etc not to suffer either.

Good point AR, in that case maybe not for me.
On another subject, what do you think about the Spoon rigid collar technology as I've just ordered a set??

Never had any experience with them, but if they are like the rest of the Spoon range they should be great.

One observation, I am old school and AFAIK aluminium and copper grease can react.

Double check before the install.

Cheers mate I'll do that.
I will let you know if it feels any different as soon as they're on.

Is it possible for you to post some clear pics of the instructions you got with this. I'm curious to see in the pictures exactly what positions they are used in..

Thanks

No problem.
In fact I recieved them today and the instructions are all in Japanese ;), maybe JB can translate.
Just as well pictures say a thousand words.:)
I will keep you all posted on how I get on fitting them.

I've only just noticed this! :)

I did have my nsx for sale for a short period of time on pistonheads, but got so many random annoying odd balls trying to do deals without even seeing the car I got frustrated and took it off. It's a car that looks way better in real life than in the pics. I fitted the wheels which was a big nightmare calculating the perfect off set and width. There 11.5 x 19 at the rear with 295 tyres. 18x9.5 at the front and fit perfect, also i fitted very good KW variant 3 suspension which is awesome and fully adjustable. Trust me I've done the whole drifting scene and have done lots of track work (not in this car tho, I would never track it) this car handles way better than any nsx I have ever driven in the past, it sticks to the road like glue! It's on full set of sticky pilot sport. I've upgraded all the bushers and steering rack bushers, the chassis is full of typeR strengthening braces underneath. It's part of my car collection, but I'm gonna invest in classic that's quadruple the price! So will be for sale at some point. Probably with a dealer as can't be arsed with time wasters.

Also a funny thing about the carbon bonnet, I could never decide if the carbon bonnet I fitted looked right or not, most people said yes and some said no. But I'm now gonna fit the original white bonnet back and sell the other one on ebay or something.
I can't post cf bonnet in the 'for sale' section as I'm not a platinum member:(

Thanks for the comments:) I understand its not gonna be everyone's cuppa tea, but I luv it and it looks totally unique

Looks like when you buy a new washing machine & take the cardboard off.

Next time, I'll keep the expended poly in case anyone wants to glue it on their car.
