He starts by saying the car was dull to drive for the first few miles, then soon he's doing big speeds for thousands of miles and down-shifting for overtakes, but... he fails to describe how he adapted to or felt about its driving character at all. A short sentence on the engine note, nothing on handling, response, etc. Surely in 1000+ miles there was some bit of highway with curves.

Is this really a Petrolicious article? Maybe this guy should write more about Aunt Flo.

Did he really take a photo while driving at 110mph? And should he be worried that the battery voltage barely gets to 12V at that speed?

I agree entirely. He just does not seem to get the NSX nor its uniqueness - it is not supposed to look like a Diablo. That's the point. As for the article it is just a moderately interesting travelogue that just happens to include an NSX. In his defence, I have driven I10 from Houston to Jacksonville. And back again. It is BORING. Straight as far as the eye can see which is a very long way. It has to be the world's longest, most enduringly boring road (except maybe for I20) - a concrete strip of nothingness that simply serves to get you from A to B. There are many interesting detours off it but not a road for the NSX - best suited to American tanks that cannot go around curves.

Part 4 has arrived

Read all 4 installments and overall enjoyed it :)

A bit too much travelogue and not enough NSX specifics BUT he does eventually "get it" (the car) and the fact that it's balance of performance and sheer competence more than compensates for it's apparently modest power output and relatively (compared to shouty Italians) low key looks.

Some nice pictures and I like his quote, "The NSX is faster because it's better" 8)
