What do NSX owners/ admires/ forum members drive to school/work/ play every day ??

Me, a 2014 RS4, great engine, small compact v8 that rev to 8k.....would have been great in the back of a NSX

It's been 10 years since I owned a NSX, which at the time was my daily drive.

FD2 CTR for the family duties and the (should-be-but-isn't) boring commute. Suprisingly different character to the NSX, feels a lot more modern (good and bad), but doesn't feel as well engineered / as 'rounded' as the NSX.

Hate to say it but I disagree, unless they have solved the carbon build up issue that requires regular cleaning if you want to retain the engine's stated power

Well, for the last 5 years, the daily driver has been an Aygo. But that's now for sale, because the old LS400 barge we bought for this Summer's Euro road trip has proved impossible to let go. The NSX/LS pair is a nice bit of symmetry: at the same time that Honda went after the Ferrari niche with the NSX, Toyota did the same for the S-class niche with the LS. Similar prices when new, but now the LS is cheap as chips.

Plus there's a Stratos replica in storage, which really deserves sorting out for next Summer.

You bought Elliott's old car (red/white Hawk), didn't you?

goldtop

Yes, it was Elliott's (although it's actually a Transformer). In messages here, I've pondered putting the spare NSX engine into it, but at the moment common sense has prevailed and there are far more sensible ways to spend that sort of money. :)

Watch out, you've got Noel on his 2nd favourite topic.

Got a Disco at the moment and love it!

My daily driver is a gas guzzling Ranger Rover Sport, petrol, V8, Supercharged. If I had any sense I'd get rid and replace it with something sensible...................but where's the fun in that,

Jim

The NSX is the daily work horse. Weekend cars include a track legal 1978 Porsche 928 and a 1969 Ginetta G15S historic racer. I have an affinity for generally undervalued machinery.
The 928 has just been woken from hibernation and recommissioned for shopping duties as I am awaiting a new coolant header tank to replace one fitted only two years ago. If you notice what appears to smell like windscreen wash during enthusiastic cornering, check the coolant level.

Currently an old BMW 320d diesel estate (good workhorse, finding it difficult to justify changing for something newer / lower mileage).
Previous daily drivers included a DC2 Integra Type R, Clio 182 and Megane R26 (in liquid yellow - best car colour ever! - with all the decals).

Audi S8 4.2 v8 (1998).

Glad to see a few others have a liking for big thirsty v8 barges!

245BHP 2002 Hatge Mini Cooper S bought from new and now with 165000 miles on the clock, still tracked at least twice a year.
Wouldn't dream of parting with it as I installed a fantastic sounding 500 watt SQ system in it 11 years ago which then proceeded to win both IASCA UK and European Pro SQ finals in 2004 and 2005. Agh! They were the days.:)

Light car rocket

I worked with someone in the mid 90s who went off to be a test/development driver for them
If I remember right, they were stunning looking cars (he was also a real talent behind the wheel)

They're very special little cars but you either "get" them or you don't. In my opinion, they're really what a supercar should be these days. Less weight rather than more power.

There are only 48 or so in existence but I think of the 6 owners I've spoken to, 5 have an NSX so that must say something!
