View Full Version : 7th May 2006 Silverstone FIA GT race
Shame about the weather ... many hours of cleaning mostly gone to waste!
Still ... 22 NSXs all in one place ... quite a sight if I do say so myself.
Heard from one male passer by to his female companion ... "These are NSXs. They may all look the same, but each one is different." ... bless his little cottons for trying to impress ... and poor lass for putting up with him :!:
Was nice to meet up with some NSXers I haven't met before, as well as with some I'd already met ... kept meaning to butt in and introduce myslef to Kevin, but he was always chatting away as everyone else did what I didn't and said hello and I just kept wandering around trying to take a decent picture ... Doh!
Anyway, here are a few pics from a day not well suited for taking any pictures from interesting angles ... I'm sure more will follow ... and be more interesting.

Nice to meet some new faces. As always its not possible to get around to everyone.
For those that didn't see a banner that I have had made up here it is, being modelled by the missus. Oh well, I guess using it would of made us look far to professional compared to the other clubs.

:D I had a really nice day.
Was a great turnout, shame we didn't beat the record in the end... maybe next time
I met loads of new faces today and some lovely people. Some more familiar faces too 8)
Y1 has a colour I've not seen before and is lovely in the flesh.
I really enjoyed chatting with fellow enthusiasts and some thoroughly nice folk. And Andrew ...... Big Thanks!!! You know what for. 8)
I ended my day with a drive up the M1 and ended up joining a little convoy of 2 classic Aston Martins. Got a big grin from one as I originally passed, then I slowed and they passed (chap giving me another grin) and I dropped in at the back. Then just before they turned off the motorway, Aston slows so I pass and he drops his window and gives me a thumbs up. I do like enthusiast comradary. 8)

Yep, Fantastic weekend even with the weather!
Good to meet up again, shame about the record but at least it gives us an excuse to try to beat it next time!
Heres a couple of pics of the Saturday guys, showing that the polishing wasnt wasted, pre midday downpour

Well, my first NSX meet and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Good to meet everyone. Sorry I ruined the display by leaving a bit early Sammy but work was calling!!!
Just thought I'd add this pic as most of the others focused on them from the front.
Excellent racing too! The Aston's looked superb . . . drool, drool.
Cheers

Well despite the weather we had a great day, from interesting drive up the M1 with a Mustang that couldn't stop through to the gentle cruise home making full use of the T-Top :)
It was great to meet so many of you and to see what mods people have made to their NSX's.
Sammy, it was good to meet you and a special thanx for all your efforts!
Kevin, you easily win the exhaust db contest and the attached photo is therefore, relevant

Why thank you. I didn't mean to be the loudest, I've only just put that exhaust on, despite owning it for about 8 months now. I'm getting used to it, and at least it shuts my friend up, who keeps going on about how loud his Cerbera is.

We popped into Toddington on the way back home, we got out of the car as 2 loud exhauts came past a couple of cars apart, guess which car's they were.
Both sounded as loud as each other :)

:D Nice one Simon! Thanks for making me look like a thief! LOL!
In case people start to wonder (or worse, call security next time they spot me at a NSX meet) - the dodgy looking fellow in the pics above is yours truly! I was installing clear side repeaters for people ... not nicking them!
Thanks to Sammy for organising the meet and it was nice to see some familiar faces and make new acquaintances.
See you all at the next one!
Dan
Unbelievable,
so many NSX and I missed it
Why did nobody tells me about the event
Hope I can enjoy it next year
There was a 4 hours race at the nürburgring last weekend. One NSX-R from Honda Deutschland and 209 other race cars participating the race. The race is general test for the 24h race next month at the Ring. The Nsx-R start at 33rd position comes after the first lap on position 18th and ended the race by position 26th under complete wet race conditions.

Why did nobody tells me about the event
....errr, the thread about this event has been in the 2006 events section since Feb mate, and was one of the most active threads on the forum running to 9 pages of posts!!

Thanks darren!
"Hey wife where`re my f..... glasses".
But serious, maybe we can manage that Kevin or someone else send an e-mail to the member-list for special event or meetings.
I think not all members are known about all details at the club-page and a e-mail would maybe help to get a larger participation at the meetings.

I like your detective work but unfortunately you are on the wrong path as me, Paul, Paul G and Darren all have coupes!
However your detective work may explain what happened to Senninha

Unless of course your all a bit too tall for an nsx, and your head rubs against the headlining? maybe you should get the targas or try reclining the seat a bit!
