Help needed, 'safety' camera Apps

Over the last 10 years or so I’ve used a Road Angel detector to warn me of impending ‘safety’ cameras. The subscription for this device is up for renewal and now about £60 p.a.
I’ve seen that a number of Apps claim to fulfil a similar role and are less expensive.
The App needs to be for an iPhone and as I’m a bit of a luddite, I’ve managed to manage to date without a Sat Nav.
Any thoughts, personal experiences, recommendations, whatever on a suitable product.

no idea on the apple apps, but all the satnav providers (and thus safety camera plugins) are moving toward apps, so they can let someone else worry about the hardware.....

obviously you'll have to buy a new iphone as it's illegal to use any except the latest version... apparently!
