Reupolstering the seats

Having the colour red on the outside, I thought I should introduce a touch of the same colour to the seats. I saw the previous discussion on the purchase of seat covers and showed the pictures to a trusted friend, who just so happens to be an upolsterer. We are about to commence the task of removing the seats. Can anyone give me advice on aspects I should be aware of?

Hi Steve,

Taking the seats apart is pretty straight forward really.
There are loads of 'hog rings' (Americanism I suppose) which fit the leather snugly to the foam. When I installed the new seat covers I used zip ties instead which were easier to tension and easier to remove if necessary.
