that'll be a whole 242 that the DVLA thinks were licensed... not sure if SORN is in this data....

Fascinating.

Shame the classification is all over the shop i.e we dont know how many manuals, autos, targas etc..

when you hit the model links it indicated combined number of licenced and SORN ... the SORN T in 2012/13 would have been mine ...

The 'new registrations' sections shows only 2 or 3 cars being registered in the early 2000's, surely not correct. Does anybody have sales by year?

I've just checked my logbook and it says Make = Honda, Model = NSX and apart from the Vin and engine number that's it. Mine's a manual targa but how does the DVLC know if a vehicle is a Targa, auto, F-matic if there's no mention? Do others logbook give more detail? As you say, shame the classification's all over the place!

it depends entirely on how it was registered, who filled the form in, and how much they could be bothered to type when putting it on the system!!!!

....like the DVLA have the greatest track record for accuracy! on another forum i frequent, someone is being taken to court by the DVLA for not notifying them a car he owned was scrapped... this despite him having the 'thanks for letting us know the car has been sscrapped' letter FROM the DVLA!!!! :)

Unless the engine/gbox were swapped, for European model, decoding the VIN will tell you a lot of things such as the engine size, year model, MT/AT, Coupe/Targa, etc.
F matic was standard for 95 AT models onwards.

also the log book is a small snippet of the info that the DVLA has on the car...... their data is more detailed
