As title says im after a ABS Accumulator for my 1991 NA1 NSX, im in the process of rebuildng my unit and the nitrogen gas has leaked out, the o ring has perished and failed. Does any one have one for sale or know if it possible to recharge them at all ? Its the 1st Gen ABS unit, my car is LHD but i cant imagine this part would change on the RHD cars.

Here is a link to the part im after.

http://www.oemacuraparts.com/auto-parts/1992/acura/nsx/nsx-trim/5-speed-manual-engine/chassis-cat/a-l-b-accumulator-scat

Its labelled 3 and its just the ball underneath i need.

Thanks

LHD and RHD ABS units are handed, but i think that's just the top half.

the spheres can be replaced (much the same principle as Citroen suspension spheres) as i have replaced the sphere on mine a while ago! (turns out it was 2010!!!!) the sphere is combined with the mounting and pressure switch

I think that is the second generation ABS but not sure if the accumulator would be the same?? Might be able to retrofit the whole unit but would probably need the control unit too?

Not sure how you judged that the nitrogen gas had leaked. Did you judge it based on the amount of fluid recovered from the system or did you see damage to the small fixing at the bottom of the sphere?

If you are 100% sure, you could get just the sphere: 57070-SG0-801. Same for the RHD and LHD.
You also need the o-ring: 57139-SB0-801.
Didn’t realise item #3 in your link is more than US$500. I thought it was much cheaper when Jonathan replaced it long time ago but could be wrong.
The fitting of the pipe #4 always gets heavy corrosion so you may be forced to have it replaced.
If doing overhaul, make sure to replace the high pressure line #13 at the same time.

Not sure it's worth investing in new parts (apart from the o-ring and high pressure hose #13) because they may fail again in the future.
Upgrading to later spec ABS is one option although I can only recommend it if driving your NSX regularly because of the cost. Much cheaper to get the later spec ABS parts from Japan, by the way.

Hope you have the ABS overhaul workshop manual. Never seen one in different language other than in Japanese.
