At last a great video that explains in lay mans terms the complexity of the new NSX.

Interesting, still I will maintain that the HSV should have been a part of the Honda/Acura line up.

Perhaps they need to create yet another brand name for non everyday cars and let themselves go.

I think the key point is the one he makes at the end - the character of the handling can be completely changed within the software...so maybe Type-S and Type-R variants will be as focused as many of us had hoped this car would be...also leaves the door open for the aftermarket tuners.

Disappointments: Steering feel and engine sound...can't do a lot about them...well, possibly engine sound.

Question is. if you had the money would you buy one?

Yes, so long as can keep my current NSX :)

No. Even if I was superwealthy, I'd still hate depreciation. The lesser McLs are depreciating, and I'm sure the new NSX will, too.

Need to drive one first. But I think it's probably too wide and too damned fast.

And yes, the depreciation would be painful.

Depreciation is the major cost with any new car, supercars in particular.

Hence why I'll probably never be in the position to buy a new one. Would be interested to drive one that someone's already taken the hit on though...but probably a ~2018/19MY when they've given the steering a bit of life.

In the aviation industry there's an old adage that says, "never buy an "A" model anything".
Let them sort them out first then consider a purchase.

Unfortunately for Hondura, trudat...

I wasn't bothered about the 86's faults because I knew about them and didn't consider them serious (it was built post-cam variator issue and only has the chirpy injector pump, post-thrash) so didn't follow my own advice.

But with un grand complication like the NC1, I'd be terrified.
