As I have no real serious track day intentions I decided to rule out coilover kits costing more than £1500 and after reading lots of reviews and opinions on line including Kaz's good feed back in his helpful blog, I narrowed it down to the BC Racing HR model coilovers:

They are the 10kg front and 10kg Spring rates

Although by all accounts they're not to difficult to fit I decided after speaking with Graham at Plans that the most important aspect of any suspension upgrade is the final calibration and setup, which they do so I thought it best to let them fit them as well.

I'm so looking forward to driving it afterwards so I can compare with origanol setup.

Having spent a very interesting, informative and entertaining day with the owner Graham at Plans Performance while watching his very experienced Nsx mechanics install my BC coilovers and then setting up the camber and castor adjustments after making my agreed ride height setting, which once again was far too low for its own good.

Increaseing the height a further inch front and rear still gave the car a great looking stance while giving adequate safe real world road height without grounding out at every lump/hump in the road.

Initial impressions while driving back the 40 odd miles in the dark and rain are very good with the damper settings in the middle position of 32 clicks so still plenty of future adjustments to try out over the coming months.

I'm also very pleased to say that the small amount of near side front suspension rattle/knock I noticed during the install road test completely disappeared by the time I got home. Something Graham suggested should happen once the fluid had settled down.

I would just like to say many thanks to Graham and his helpful staff in making me feel very welcome while looking around at the various stunning examples of NSX's including a wide bodied beast, a work in progress rebuild type R and lots of other gorgeous examples, in fact, amazingly, 12!!! in total.

Great value for money installation, particularly after selling him family Rac breakdown cover so thanks again Graham.:)
