hi, after the success of the Supercar Siege for charity at leeds castle for the last 3 years, leeds castle have opted not to have them back.....
but put on their own show, that appears to be in a similar vein, 'Motors by the Moat'
i emailed them just after i found out about it, and it is on saturday and sunday 7-8th May 2016, it's £10 per car per day, the email reply didn't make clear the passengers situation (not that we can fit many in) i'd hope they are included!
anyway, here's a link to the application form, it appears they are trying to keep the standard 'up' with pre-approval of the cars before entry invoices are sent.....

edit... up to 4 passengers included... could be a squeeze!

Hi Jonathan, so is their a charitable cause or simply the castle owners raising restoration funds? Thanx, Paul

So...let me get this straight. Having hosted a charity event for a few years which has become increasingly successful, they've now binned-off the charity and instead are running their own, very similar event...for profit!?!
Unless I've misunderstood (in which case apologies to L-C), they can f'k right off...

they binned off the supercar seige team/organisers with their charitable aspirations, and all their supercar contacts and decided to take all the money with their own show... they took all the public gate previously, only missing out on the car entry charges that were made online and effectively direct to the charity account. obviously thought they were missing on some extra pot!
it happened with a hot rod show at Beaulieu too, after several years of a successful Victory Wheelers car club show there, Beaulieu was unavailable as a venue to them any more only for the Beaulieu Hotrod drive in show to appear, run by Beaulieu!

I'd be more than happy to support the 'Supercar Siege' guys if they manage to find another venue as felt they put in a lot of hard work to organise a great relaxing event for a very worthy cause. Although not so sure it would have been so good if we hadn't been so lucky with the weather!
After pulling a move like that i'm not so inclined to line Leeds castle's pockets in place of a charity and would not be interested in attending this event.

Was a good day out last year but ditching the charity is pretty ruthless. I wonder if feelings are similar within other car clubs....
