Confirmation of NSX GT3 class racer being designed and built.

Now this should be interesting, a GT3 class NSX2 is being produced to compete alongside other 600bhp+ racers, bearing in mind that electric motors are not allowed in this class (albeit at present) I wonder if Acura are just retuning the current engine to comply on power outputs.

The big Rolex 24hr race starts tomorrow and the 2 highly anticipated NC1's are over 10 seconds off the pace to the Cadillacs.

Its a massive field of over 40 GT cars and should be very interesting to see how they perform.

According to this News bulletin hyper link it should be possible to watch the race live on Fox sports on line but I've struggled to find the link.

Thanks for the link Clive. Been dipping in and out. The GT3 certainly look the part and are running 1 and 2 in GTD with 6 hours to go. Horrendous conditions with multiple safety cars but looking brighter as the daylight improves. Come on NSX GT3!

I understand it was eventually classified 11th (good for first outing) after coming to a halt on the outfield about half an hour from the finish ... bŷ which time it had also lost a wing and its bonnet!

Of the two NSX GT3 the 86 car finished in 5th and the 93, damaged and retired as you say, was awarded 11th.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but compared to free-to-air F1 coverage of recent years, much more exciting and more interaction through the live streaming.
I don’t pay for Sky F1 so I’m quite sure there are lots of tools available there but still, it was nice being able to switch between the cars with live update of the timing/order display.
Congratulations to the people at HPD, R&D, Michael Shank Racing and others.

And yes, as exiges1 mentioned, it would be nice if we can see the in-car cockpit live view of Acura NSX.
