Where would I find the definitive specification for a NSX NA2 R? Is there a book or website that details everything about the car which is considered the most accurate? I would prefer the specs for the car sold in the UK (if indeed there were any differences) rather than Japan.
Thanks.

Just ask Clive, he is a Guru!

The NA2 R was never sold in the UK.

Have you found a mistake on your plaque?!

EDIT: This website is official Honda, so should be gospel: http://world.honda.com/NSX/

Cheers Simon, that much I did know but now I know a whole lot more, a very interesting read.🎓

If I recall didn't HUK bring one over but only used it for press reviews at the time, it was actually nominated as EVO mags ECOTY (EVO Car Of The Year) in 2005.👍

I forgot to say that surely has to be the greatest car EVER built yet never to be sold in the uk.
Oh Honda, what a boob you dropped.:(

Thanks for the link Simon. The plaque is incorrect as they put the NA1R data on and to their credit have agreed to produce another with the NA2R data enscribed, I just wanted to double check their proof.

Following on from Simon's post above, the final spec for the 2005 Type-R can be found here:

http://www.honda.co.jp/auto-archive/nsx/2005/grade-data/r-spec.html

you'll need to have auto-translate on in your browser settings, as it is in Japanese.

The only difference I can spot between the 2002 spec and the 2005 spec is the model code name: in 2002 it was LA-NA2, by 2005 it was ABA-NA2, and the addition of an anti-theft immobiliser.

There is such a thing as a brochure for the 02+ Type R, but these are very few and far between and only in Japanese - I have seen one online - flickr perhaps?

Here is a link to a car for sale now (http://www.route-ks.com/stock/detail/156/index.html#15).

Not one to split hairs but..............

Honda UK did sell one NA2 Type R, which is the one that is in EVO car of the Year 2005, and various other car mags. The car was sold to a pair of brothers with the agreement that Honda could borrow it as and when. They sold the car some years ago now, and I understand it is in some car collection in the UK.

Honda changed a few things, such as steering with airbag and headlights away from R spec. Still a great car. If its the same one, some pics here:

Had the pleasure of working on it. It also gets used!
