I have a Gen 1 manual, which has impressed my friend enough to want an NSX too, but he wants an auto targa, preferably purple with tan interior. Anybody know of any for sale?

Graham from Plans http://www.plansperformance.com OR Tristian from Torque GT http://torque-gt.co.uk/about/ could probably order you in a JDM, but uk cars for sale of that spec will be as rare as hens teeth.

Good luck anyway.

Fully agree. Forget the colour and take what you can find - if you can find it. By the way - is this not the wrong place for this thread? Unless looking for a 2nd Generation auto targa which is even rarer!
[Edit: Kaz-kzukNA1; thank you for pointing out. Moved the thread to 'Wanted' forum.]

How things have changed - the following was from a Pistonheads article about buying an NSX in 2012

"Owners tend to keep their cars for long periods, which has shored up used values. Even an early, high miles NSX will make £10,000, while a 3.2-litre manual NA2 with low miles and perfect history will pull in £25,000." - now those are prices you can only dream about if you want to own one !

I'd of said they were a couple of years out of date in 2012!

Absolutely. Pistonheads get it so wrong sometimes. I bought mine in 2009 and those prices were an historic dream even then.
