Before you remove the gearbox - any suggestions? (now I rent a lift for hours)

Not sure of the answer to your question but have you looked in the online service manual?
Have you checked your pedal travel?

Hi, Mario.
I saw your post in Technical Forum but I'm afraid there was not enough information and I could see it tuning into long Q&A session before even getting to the point of your question/issue so decided not to respond until enough information shows up.
You really need to tell some background story of your issue (suddenly happened, happened after doing something, etc) and at least the followings;
OEM CL or aftermareket. If aftermarket, push/pull type.
Single disc or twin type.
OEM Hyd sys (pedal/master/slave/hose/damper) or aftermarket. You must tell whether you are using Type-R CL pedal (RHD only) and/or damper-less joint or not.
Pedal adjustment
You better place the above info in the thread you started in Technical forum as I'm quite sure, there will be more information required.
Kaz
Just in case it helps before you go removing the gearbox.

It should be an explanation of the circumstances under which happened:
after two days Nurburgring and one day SPA (last lap)
My NSX -Acura NSX witch 41000miles all OEM (without exhaust manifold, exhaust -DCSport,stifened springs and 17,18 Wheels)
Im not Kubica or Christian ATR (for every lap I had the brakes and did 3x 20km lap)
or they were previously symptoms:
after 3 x lap standing in traffic to exit i have little problem with 1gear -I thought that the fault of the fluid (high temp)

I've seen that before! One of the torsion springs fell out of one of my OEM clutch discs during a 4-5 shift on the Autobahn back in the 1990s. I think several people in Germany have had that happen.
After that the clutch didn't work anymore and I had to get my NSX towed to an NSX-authorized Honda dealership in Frankfurt. I had the clutch replaced with a Comptech Powergrip clutch which worked perfectly and whose torsion springs never failed despite many high speed runs. When the time came for a new clutch, I went back to an OEM twin-disc unit mated to a lightweight flywheel so that the engine revs more quickly. Now that I have an OEM twin-disc clutch again, I take care not to load / unload the clutch too strongly and quickly when shifting gears.

That happened on my Escort Van in the A10 morning traffic, many years ago.
Probably why I'm pretty adept at clutchless gear changes now...
Cost a lot less to fix, mind.

Hi greenberet,
I thought that this issue is caused racetrack .but you had it on the autobahn - interesting.
I bought OS Gikken STR2 with Alteration Movement Kit (like OEM :2 xClutch Plate)
12910
after removal of the old clutch-check if you can live down?
Oem Clutch it has good response for daily use -you also came back to OEM
Regards
Mario
P.S.
I think that I will not assembly properly (retorque screws to Factory Spec -little room for torque wrench)
Christian ATR advised me- Engine reasembly- I will not
Any sugestions?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. When a torsion spring jumped out of one of my clutch discs, it got jammed in a position that prevented the clutch from operating anymore. When installing a new twin-disc clutch, I'd suggest following the procedure described in the Service Manual including initialization, where to lubricate, and what grease to use. After you remove the transmission to get to the clutch, you'll have enough room to do the job properly. Since it takes so much work to get to the clutch, I'd recommend making sure the job is done properly so that you don't have to remove the transmission again any time soon.

Today I took the gearbox.12752
by the way weighed gearbox
12753 54,8 kg
I looked into the filter
12754
12755I found metal shavings and bronze -Thanks to Kaaz "Blog"
I should disassembly and inspection gearbox (syncross, etc.)?

Bronze is from the synchros. I'd check them or replace them anyway while in there.
The input shaft is pretty rusty...

by the way...
This year I would like to ride in my car back on the track. So I bought OS Giken LSD with 4.40 final ratio (and internal used gears for 200 GBP-one synchronizer costs so much)

in the main shaft on the right side (purchased) are deeper grooves -I think the higher mileage

I reassembled with new bearing
12891
and check Diff bearing clerance (2 to 3 Niuton - with Manuals)
12892
I did not check as is says the Manuals exactly play Main Shaft - I do not have Honda special Tool
I only assembled two halves of the housing and
I checked my hand (as much as I have strength) or I can move Main Shaft (play)
Next I reassembled counter shaft
At the end of the assembly I had a pressing problem - because I did not set in the right position shift lever (Manuals:Lower the transmissions housing, then place the shift arm in the groove of the shift piece by turning the shift lever)
I have exceeded the assembly time for liquid gasket -if 20 minutes have passed after applying liquid gasket, reapply it and assemble the housing
It was awful another hour to clean the housing - It worked out well because I put too much on it (got inside)

I recommend to exercise 'shift lever in shift piece procedure' while getting both housings together DRY first until you feel safe and sure how it works. After that you can put on the liquid gasket and need less than 5 minutes. I've also used quite a lot of sealant, maybe a little bit too much but better than too less or not completely degreased. No leaks at my tranny so far.
What values did you measure for the mainshaft clearance? Did you have to modify the shim?
You didn't have a press? I would favor one over hammering the parts on the shafts. It's safer to work with.
I'm looking forward to your impressions of the 4.44/differential.

I like your taste of humour. :) Yes, DIY rules. I'd rate the difficulty level of such a involving project as a 9.5 out of 10. Not to think about the endless list of errors to avoid. :)
I've done about 300 km with mine and all is good so far. The differential gets quieter the more I drive with the new MTF filled in.

There is some play in the bearing even when new. The question is by how much? I've found out that while turning the intermediate shaft fast by hand it wasn't smooth compared to another car with less miles on it. The bearing is NOT prone to fail. I could have used mine longer even with 190k km on it.
Pride, it takes longer than half an hour just to pull the intermediate shaft from the guide and gearbox. :)
EDIT: the bearing is NOT prone to fail.

Today arrived intermediate shaft bearing (from Japan in 1week !!!-Isicar Company ,e-bay)
12906
12912
Has the same play
But again Goldi is right- while turning fast -used bearing ist not smoothly (I bought two so I change)
I tried to buy in the country but received that there is no such in the catalog (no such size).Markings that are on the sealant are not the bearing number.

I ran the experiment: I put both bearings on an axis rotating at 350 rev / min for 10 minutes
and measured the bearing temperature - The new bearing was 17 degrees lower than used.
inquisitiveness prompted me to look inside
12915
The grease has lost its lubricating properties - it was on the casing and not on the balls (little bit)
After this experience - the next step will be inspection Driveshafts
By the way,I noticed small cracks at Rear Engine Mount
12916
I can exchange postponed until next year?

Hi Ozon
Great job you are doing! Very cool little experiment with the bearings! Happy to see that this DIY is doable if (God forbit) I should ever have to rebuild my transmission :)
