Hi guys,

Haven't been on the forum for a while, hope that everyone doing great! (apart from the football result ofcourse)
It turns out that my thirteen years in England has come to an end and I'll be moving back home(Thailand) before the end of the year. So i want to sell my car early to avoid going into the 'panic mode'.

My car has a few modifications (not the engine ofcourse), therefore, I'm not so sure how to price this..........HELP PLEASE.

Here we go:

Made : Honda
Model : NSX-T (Manual)
Year : 1995
Milege : 70,000
Reg : N5 XMY
Colour : Midnight Pearl (Purple)

Modifications:

Drive Train:
• Osgiken LSD
• Osgiken close ratio Gear
• DC Sport Exhaust
• DC Sport Exhaust maniflow
• FEEL CAT replacement
• ARC air box

Chassis & Brakes:
• Tein RA suspension
• Brembo Front calipers (Ferrari F50 model)
• Brembo group N front disc

• Mugen gear knob

Others:

• Private reg plate (NSX MY)

Service History:
I bought the car from 'Kiki Nana' who was the Option Motorsport owner. He bought the car as an 'Approved Used' from a Honda dealership and he used his garage to service the car. And since I've got the car, I've been servicing my car with 'Plans Motorsport'.

Condition: The car is in a very good condition. 100% working order including all electronics(apart from abs&tcs due to failed passenger side wheel speed sensor but spare part have been ordered) .Paint work is EXCELLENT for 11 years old car(no stone chip due to protective film).

my e-mail: gern13@yahoo.com (more pics available)

Many thanks to you all :D

Good question!

A nice car and unusual spec, which I am sure somebody will want, and it will really those that want it who dictate its value.

if you have the standard parts to go with the car I think it may appeal to a wider market and be easier to value?

As usual, I fear I am as much help as a chocolate fireguard

....if you still have the standard parts and the time to reinstall, you will get a better return by selling your upgraded parts separately...I'm sure you will have no trouble selling your parts on this site in no time at all.

I would suggest that you would be able to do a gearbox swap quite easily - I'm sure there are a few members who would gladly give you their standard gearbox and a 4 figure cash sum in a trade for yours - just need to find a friendly garage to meet up at to undertake the transaction.

apart from the additional dosh from such a deal, your market of potential buyers will grow as a result.

Hi!

A friend of mine is looking for an NSX, and guess what. We will be in Reading tomorrow!

I have just sent you a private message.

Cheers,
Martin

Wow what a beautiful example to some lucky punter - I would have bitten your arm off If I wanted another one but I get enough stick from the wife for having 5 years of house equity sat on the drive as it is

To the right person it is worth somewhere between 23 and 25k

Surely you mean in stock form for that price ??

The modifications (if someone specifically wanted them) will add value, but reduce saleability, much more select market.

But you should easily be able to find £5k for the other parts, then it all depends if the standard parts are available or if an exchange is needed.

I bought my car in Feb. It is slightly younger and lower mileage than yours, yellow, a coupe and completely standard. I believe your car to be more valuable than mine but it will probably be more difficult to sell due to the mods; I for one would prefer the standard seats and steering wheel.

I would therefore start at £25k but be prepared, over time, to accept only £20k.

OPT,

Very nice looking NSX, interesting combo of mods. FWIW I would re-install std steering wheel but leave the rest as a complete package.

IMO, pricing around the £25k sounds sensible.

Good luck

I think more in region of 20k in stock form .. totally agree with you about saleability would probably make a big diff to insurance as well and that would be the thing putting me off.

I think you will see the most back from it if you standardise it and put the parts up for sale on here - some nutter like AR or Simon may even buy the lot off you!

I'd be interested in quite a few of the bits in a fe wmonths if they came up for grabs then.

OK lets run a couple of sweepstakes

Who

How Much

I'll take AR and £24,250

tried pming him already but he's away on business a lot this week so we may not find out till next week.

OPT could make it easier on us and just spill...

Mmmm,

AR would be my guess too based on his recent advert to sell parts.

I believe he has bought an X but he's not saying what one.

Price, £23,800

OPT's car is now for sale through Plans Motorsport. For those who don't know of us, we are NSX specialists, and look after several members cars, including our midenginedsportscars race car. We currently have four NSX customer's cars in at the moment, more than most main dealers can say!

We have looked after the car, and knew the previous two owners well.

It is one of the best NSX's we have seen, are offering it with 12 months MOT, 12 months warranty and the new buyer can have thier first drive around the Stig circuit, if they want.

Well that kills the odds on the sweepstake in favor of AR....

here it is! 25k so I guess we were about on the right mark regarding value.

Suppose it depends whether plans have robbed all the bits off her or not... I would have thought so if the originals were there as it would definitely be in their interest.

All the extra's are listed though so would think not ??
