Does anybody have or know of a cherished 'NSX' plate for sale? Ideally one which only has two or three numbers and 'NSX'. I don't really want to signify the year of the car so . . . . Budget? I'll have to see what is on offer first.
Cheers

Yeah, had a look. RegTranfers had NSX 100 on their books a little while ago for about £4,200 I think. A bit on the steep side for me but the best plate I've seen so far. I think 'NSX 1' at £27,950 is dreaming a little because lets face it unless you have 'THE' Type R there isn't much point having such a number plate and it has a very limited audience.
Still, I'm on the lookout. . .

I was offered that plate for £5k by a previous owner, I declined and it was sold with the car (1995 silver) which has subsequently been written off :(
here's some pics from happier times

£5k!!!!!! I would have bitten his arm off. I know its only worth the price while you have that make of car but I've already promised myself I'm not going to be without an NSX for a long, long time.

had the timing been different re my own cashflow, I would have done too
as it was, it was not the right time for me to spend that kind of money on that plate.
it's all academic for me anyway as my no longer wears number plates

Solely a track day car hey!
I'm looking forward to getting my car back this week with its mods. I'll try and get some decent photos on here with a bit of feedback too.
Try www.newreg.co.uk
Just type in NSX for a good selection of reasonable priced two digit numbers plus K2 NSX for £645 plus transfer fee.

Yeah I saw that one. Not bad and a good price but like I say I'd rather one that doesn't signify the age of the car. Thanks for the tip though!

How much would you pay for this plate

Well the car's only 18p so possibly 2p ??
Doesn't do it for me to be honest.
Either go full out (NSX1 or similar) or nice low number from the year of your car T1NSX etc, or don't bother.
Doesn't make it any quicker ;)

Well as it just so happens that plate is the one that was on my car when it was nicked.Hopefully i will be getting it back before long.
I totally disagree with you regarding the prefix plates. The example you used T1 NSX cannot be used on any car older than a T reg.I think the majority of people upon seeing a prefix private plate assume that is the year of your car,a bit of a bummer really if you had H2 NSX on a 2002 :(
At least with the plate on my last one i can put it on ANY year NSX

I know where you are coming from, but there are up to 999 NSX plates issued a year (for prefix and suffix plates) and they can be seen on anything from a Bedford Rascal to a Ford Escort convertible (Have seen both)
Personally (as I said) I wouldn't pay for it unless the numbers actually meant something to you.
Not saying you shouldn't, just that I wouldn't.
I have 1 car with a personalised plate (of sorts) it makes the car look older, but I had it bought for me.

Why not go for an "NSX" plate with the Year letter and VIN No. Eg.....
1999 is T
Vin No......19
NSX
T19NSX...........you might pick this up quite cheaply and its very relevant to the car
Apologies to the owner of T19NSX, I was only using it as an example

Quite a resurrection of a 2006 thread, you must be doing some hefty searches on the forum!
Given the Senna SS Logo I definitely have the best plate :-P

Given that that plate, NSX 100, is on my car, I hope that when you say "a little while ago" you really mean "a few years ago". It came with my car when I bought it 2 years ago.

Your quote by Minch was from 8th July 2006 so yes, your hope probably holds true......

Jeez. Good point. I will pay more attention to the dates of the posts in future. 6 years to resurrect a post - life does tend to move on a tad.
