obviously chassis is upside down just for wheelbase/track check! the bottom will be cut out of the teapot to sit over the chassis!!!

I'm still a bit confused as to why you're doing this, is it because you just enjoy a fast cuppa.🤡

how did i know the puns would come flooding out???
at a recent steampunk convivial (!) they had radio controlled teapot racing, as you do, and, to be honest, the vehicles were woeful! as is my way, i aim to show them how to do it properly!!!! :)
so I stripped off the radio gear, giving me a nice flat chassis top plate, found and fitted the front/rear bumpers (i'd reconfigured it all for extra ground clearance for rock crawling, but putting it back to 'stock' for teapot racing !!!) took off the body mounts, tapped the resulting 5mm holes to M6 and bolted the teapot on!

somewhat simpler than i'd expected!!!!
now... do i shorten the wheelbase a touch or not????

I think he wants to make sure victory is in the Bag before he lifts the Cup.
More seriously Jonathan - leave the wheelbase alone - the CoG of that thing needs all the stability assistance it can get...
...and you absolutely HAVE to fit another vaper in the pot itself to expel out of the spout when the teapot is running...

I want to know where you will mount the linear actuator for a smooth flowing pour when tipping the snout, I'm sure you're thinking on the same lines Jon as I've seen what you are capable of with your top hat. 🤓🎩
