Is my gearbox modified?????

Just took it out for a nice run seeing as it's a beautiful day,put my foot down in second gear and hit the limiter at 70mph :?: :?: I know for a fact i could hit 80 in my last one in second.

Any opinions?

Thanks for that :) I mentioned to my mate after i first bought the car that it feel marginally faster than my last one.Now i know why.
