Hi I really need to refresh my nsx.

I've just come back from overseas and the car was parked for three months and wouldn't start....I presumed battery dead so charged and it turns over but no wasn't firing up.

so I removed the ignition coils to change the sparks and there seems to be a water damage on the coils and some are cracjed or in a verybpoor state and also residues of oil around the area ..im not sure if it's me pouring engine oil in hap hazardous or leak some where..

Also water which I read may be external rain water from the guttering near the engine hatch.

It's a 99 auto T top ...driven every day and has not been pampered the only thing I've ever changed is the oil and filter and brake pads.

few years back one of the sensor things was broken by a equally incompetent diy you tube mechanic like myself and the car will drive limo until I deactivate the tcs button.

Needs timing belt done , suspension, water pump , ignition coils and a 101 other things ....any one close to Berkshire please.

Also where would be the best place to get parts ?

Have tried to message Kaz but can't seem to navigate on this site (im not too tech savvy )

any help would be greatly appreciated

Car are getting older...
In these cases it's recommended to do a complete list of things to do and decide then what's important to do first and what is 'nice to have'.

Hi

There are some good Honda garages that do NSX servicing and then there is Plans Motorsport who specialise in NSX servicing
Just check through the forums ... places like Norton Way are mentioned
but i dont know how far these places are away from you!
so i'm sure someone might be able to give you better information than me

If you know any really good trust worthy mechanics they can do most of the bits you have mentioned anyway. most on here that know the car well will tell you its easy worked on and the only issues can be parts prices.

Parts can be gotten from the US cheaper than HUK and Japan is also cheaper. again a wee bit of searching on the forums will help you here
remember you will be hit with customs and charges
so best having a wee look through Hondaoriginalparts.com and getting ideas on prices and weighing that up with US prices etc
Speaking to a good local honda dealer can get you some minimal discount on UK pricing too. so try them

unfortunately some of the parts you have identified are pretty expensive from HUK i.e. the water pump as and example you can get a decent saving from US
There are guys on the NSX groups on Facebook that can supply parts from US to UK

As for Kaz, go to the Blogs section and down the right hand side he has his details listed
best thing to do is email him using information provided

he is very busy ... you could have a long wait that may not suit your timescales

Thanks guys for the speedy responses ..
I don't mind waiting for Kaz as by reading thru the posts no doubt he is the bees knees when it come to all things nsx. In terms of waiting I've waited over 12 years to do anything to the car so a little while longer won't hurt.

I read somewhere that Kaz does some sort of fully engine body health check so was thinking that would be the best place to start.

Then will hopefully get advice on what needs changing and what order is best.

I still can't find out how to message Kaz via the Blog you've mentioned .
I'm using my phone to search and nothing comes up....does any one have an email or maybe number or possible pm me someway to contact him to ask about availability please .....btw this is an addictive site been reading thru posts like there is no tomorrow
