Join the queue of hopefuls if it goes for that (plus 15% BP and VAT)
PS if you are going to bid, the ups and downs within the corporate history of Coys makes for a good read.

The hammer will fall at a number at least 10k more than the upper estimated price (unless there is something seriously wrong that can't be seen in the 3 pictures (why only 3?))

As an aside, I like the 1977 Maserati Bora 4.9 (LHD) and the RHD Ferrari 330 P4 that are in the same auction.

Well it is a JDM import

I didn’t want to make that comment, but in dealerspeak that a rare JDM, or a desirable JDM?
The car also could be an AUTO.
Personally I’m amazed that when Ayrton Senna was building every car he actually built autos and JDM cars.

It is indeed an auto.... And JDM.... Practically worthless I've been led to believe....

It will only lead to the owner seeing many disappointed frowns.....

I would discourage anyone from buying an Auto, it is a well known fact that they are faster than a Manual - evidence here ...13557

JDM auto, but it is in a rare colour...as Nick says, unless something wrong with the car (well, it IS at auction - last NSX I saw at auction was cosmetically a basket case...), it should fetch rather more than the estimate...wonder if they're trying to drum-up interest?

RHD P4?!? Ah...just looked and it's a replica. Did think that'd be a bit special to go through Coys...

996 Turbo would get my interest...certainly if their estimate for that isn't ridiculously low too...

I see your game Kare, trying to put everybody off so you can get it.
Nice seats.

IIRC they did one of these on Wheeler Dealers or the like.

Estimate £22-26,000 + buyers premium of 15% + VAT on buyers premium.
Listed sold for £28,125 however I don’t know whether that’s the hammer price or not.
Buyer could therefore have paid £31,187.

It was £28,125 inc the premium, it’s been advertised for the last two years at £34k so not a bad result considering the current market.

Not a bad result for whom?
Early, low mileage AT for £28K, umm.

For the seller and auction house (the buyer also if they are happy with the car) A car that’s been in stock for approx two years, deduct the buyers premium and seller fee’s, they have likely still made a small profit or at least broken even as they were slightly cheaper out of Japan 2 years ago. Maybe I’m looking from a trade perspective but the majority I work with would be glad to get that back for the car after two years.
