I was watching a recent episode of Car SOS which featured a Toyota Supra which I know some of you have a soft spot for, and out of know where Ed China appeared with a top tip I reckon he got from here.

When working on a JDM car make sure you have proper set of Japanese spec screw drivers! He then gave them a "sealey box of screw drivers" and left.

I spotted that too, I didn't even know there was such a thing as Japanese Spec screwdrivers!

There are JIS standard screwdrivers but the only people I met using them were Hi-Fi specialists.

See rather old post, but it gives the background.

Not sure of the main purpose of the OP but Sealey does sell the JIS screwdrivers set.

Used to have tiny 'dot' punched on the screw head to distinguish JIS screw from others but not always the case.

Must item if removing the bottom two screws from the audio head unit or the ones at the IAT sensor on the intake manifold.

They are really tight and can be easily stripped.
