It's been a while since I posted anything on the forum, as I never did anything to my car over the winter, as nothing really needs doing that bugs me enough to, warrant getting the spanners dirty :D So I've just been enjoying driving it, since putting it back on the road, once the last of the winter salt has been washed away & this year there's been plenty of rain to wash the roads clean of salt :D
So come May & it was time for this years Euro trip with a couple of friends. This time we got the 24 hour ferry from Plymouth to Santander & spent a few days driving around the northern Spanish mountains, stopping off at Bilbao for a night. Having driven a lot of the driving roads through the Swiss Alps & Germanys Black Forest, the Spanish roads were amazingly free of traffic, which made the drive even better, not getting stuck behind numerous camper vans & packs of motorbikes.
After a couple of days, we crossed the border into France and drove along the west side, up to La Rochelle for a stop over then up to Hon Fleur near Le Havre & then onto Calais to catch the train back to the UK. All in, a drive of just under 2K miles & my car passing not only 195,000 miles but 196,000, with no issues at all, other than the attention it attracts, even with two AMG GT's ;)
Here are some photos of the trip.
