This car looks fantastic to me, shame it would cost the earth to import it. What do you all think of the green/black/cream colour combo? Not done this before, below you should have a link and a photo ........ here goes.

Yes, I do like it - it's very different in feel to the "sports" look, more "cruiser"?
More suited to USA than here though!

I saw this a couple of weeks back when I found this site. They also had what looked like a couple type R variants, would be more interested in importing one of them.

I once sawaw an S2000 in that colour:
a wonderful gold/green flip, but it made me feel nauseous.
Might be less emetic on an NSX.

On the something different theme, both of these work for me ....

Don't think much of them changing the badge.

That is very interesting!!!
I was reading a book about the NSX which I recieved for Christmas. It contains reproductions of various sales brochures, and I was amazed to see that the NSX was available in Lime Green Metallic - I wondered if one had ever been ordered in this colour.....clearly it has!!!!!!!!!
I borrowed a 'Muganized' S2000 from Southern Counties Honda a few years ago - it was certainly a car which got noticed - I imagine this would be even more the case with an NSX. Though it would take a brave man (or lady)!

Difficult to be totally objective about the car - the greeness overwhelmed me for much of the day!!!!!
Seriously though, it was a 2004 car whilst mine was a (classic) 2001 model - there are subtle differences in suspension and engine management between these 2 model years. The green car had a few Mugen bits, but certainly wasn't the full 'without limits' monty - it had a Mugen Exhaust and headers, a Mugen intacke and one or 2 other little bits and pieces, but the serious stuff - engine management etc. was still stock. It was a very nice thing to drive, there is no doubt. It mage a lovely noise - we even managed to find a tunnel to play in which was excellent, though on the 4th pass through (in 5 minutes) local plod decided to follow!!!
I'll try to find some piccies and attempt (my skills are limited) to post them here!
OK.....here goes - not brilliant piccies by any means, but hopefully you'll get the general idea - it was very green, yes?

Thanks for going to such an effort to find the pic's. I always wanted an S2K but just couldn't live with the mid range.
Maybe I'll sell the NSX and go SC one day.
Cheers,
James.

Maybe Mr Honda will bring the 2.2version to the UK as he does the USA. This offers the extra torque and the high revving 9k Vtec :D
Southern used to do this regularly, I remember driving their IOP Mugen S2 a few yrs back. It had stock body and ECU but Mugen exhaust, headers and inlet. As WhyOne? says, it made a lovely noise, I just couldn't justify the £4k premium they wanted for the Mugen bits.
I went for a moonrock std 04 and was delighted with it. Can't say I really noticed a problem in the mid range, but then I rarely spent time there anyway ;)

If you ever get the chance to go in Simon's SC S2 and you have a lot of life insurance in place I'm sure it would get you well on the way to being convinced. I hear SC S2s eat NSXs for breakfast:mad:

I only experience a supercharged S2000 once.....in Calgary, at about 11pm at night, temperature was -28degC and the road was solid pack ice. I was 'interested' to see 9000rpm in 1st, 2nd and 3rd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quite unforgetable to see how much steering input was required on straight roads.
The gentleman who owned the car and drove it with enormous skill ('xviper' on S2ki) also drove a fire engine for the Calgary fire dept.
See you on the track then?:p
Cheers,
James.
Mugen means without limits in English, smarty.
I'll save my response in case we meet again James.

I've only had one Mugen item and I was very unimpressed. I had some front brake pads that left a black coating on my wheels that would not come off. I had to remove it with Brillo pads in the end, then bin the pads.

The AP2 (ie 2.2 S2000) loses the 9k rev limit. :(
