Yes, very interesting.
I did wonder about replacing the those parts. The roof does move a bit when driving, but I've found that lubricating the rubbers works pretty well to insulate and stop the odd squeak.

The hardtop owner will never know the joy of lubing the rubber. To him it's just a tin machine with no soul.

I honestly grieve for them.
