Checking Compliance Pivot

Hi

Does anybody know how to inspect and check one of these? The service manual tells you only how to get them in or out - not how to inspect them for wear.

I'd imagine (great help!) that one must lift vehicle & use a jemmy to check that the swivels & the wishbone balljoints move freely & quietly, but with no lateral play.

I hate checking balljoints personally, so I'd entrust it (!) to a dealer.
