Ok, have sort of been thinking of this for a while.

Suppose I supercharged my NSX.

Would I be silly attempting this with an NA2, from what I hear it is a lot easier to do it with an NA1, especially a non FBW throttle bodied version.

So, over to you.

Simon I was thinking about that with my 99 and the OBD II system put me off it.

I am sooooo tempted to go the SC route. Its just finding the right people to do the work. I don't want to be the guinea pig who pays for someone elses 'training' to install one of these kits. If Mark and some of his crew did a UK tour then I'd be very interested!

The time on this forum post is not quite right . . . . . . . I posted the one above at 23.12 according to my watch?

Simon,

Apart from reading up on Prime where this is a very regular power upgrade, I would talk to Mark at Dali for help and advise. Isn't this what the BoostZilla is??

BTW, this does seem an extreme way of reclaiming the top BHP figure;) :D

let us know what you decide ........

SO that would be 3 potential installations already..

Darren, Nathan and Simon

You might just persuade Mark to fly his crew over...

I'm sure running my car on super unleaded would do that :)
Don't forget, I was running on Shell 95 when I did my run ;)

I am tempted by buying the one on ebay and doing it on that.

Simon,

It would be pretty difficult to replace a 3.2 engine if something went wrong, whereas a 3.0 test car, if you could get a cheap one, would be a less risky option.

Simon,

Have you read this month's Banzai, or something?

There's a very well-prepared yellow NA1 (six-speed!) in there.

I tend to go with the NA1 theory. Matters less if you destroy it.

Amo so it is an OEM NA2 header?

It looked like an NA1, maybe Honda replaced it when they rebuilt it.

Simon,

A 3.8 Litre engine looks like a good alternative if you want NA.

I am happy with 3.0 and loosing weight, the car that is not me LOL.

when I blew mine I found that spare 3.2 engines were much cheaper to get new than 3.0 simply because Honda stopped making the 3.0 years earlier - I was quoted $10k for a new 3.2 and $27k for a new 3.0 at the time.

This may have changed since the 3.2 has now also been discontinued, and of course there is always the used engine market where 3.0s are more abundant - I got a 46k miler for £2.5k in the end.

Darren where if you don't mind me asking?

It will be easier to send in an old engine than experiment with ones own.

If you guys are serious about the SC route, now is the time to do a deal if sourcing from the States.

I've just bought some gear from Mark at Dali and when asking for seasonal discount his respone was
'You guys in the UK are getting everything at half price due the $$ being in the $hitter'

To date the dealings with Mark have been absolutely first class - top bloke!

Ary,

I'm with you on the 3.8Ltr conversion as the way to go :-)

Never been a fan of forced induction.

If my motor broke/blew/melted, I'd build it back up using the SOS 3.8 kit

Nitrous Oxide might be fun in the meantime :-)

Cheers

HI Guys,

Has anyone tried/ looked at this place, seems they do a lot of upgrades for all sorts of cars, here's the NSX list.

http://www.tdi-plc.com/NSX.html

There seems to be turbo and supercharger options.

May be usefull for anuone thinking about it, I have thought about it for a while to go S/C but time and money are my main hinderances at the mo, but I'b be really interested in hearing from anyone that does go for it.

Cheers
Jim

They wanted £ 10k for a Comptech SC.
