Sorry if this has been asked before but do any of you guys have an estimate on how many Honda NSX's are currently on the UK's roads?

On your meet-ups do you get good turn-outs?

They seem to be a very rare sight these days.

I only know of one other NSX that used to be round my area a few years ago, used to be owned by Paul Bird (MonstaMob Ducati Superbike team owner).

Even at the likes of the big Japanese Auto Extravaganza Show (held at Billing, Northampton) there were only about 2 or 3.

So they must be few in numbers or do you guys keep them hidden away !
:D

Difficult to say but here are the official Honda sales figures through to end 2002 and I believe that they sold about 20 in 2003:

UK Sales to date:

Year Sales
1991 125
1992 41
1993 47
1994 19
1995 55
1996 38
1997 35
1998 10
1999 17
2000 11
2001 8
2002 23

This totals 429 whch plus say 30 from 1 January 2003 to date gives you 459. Assume 70% are still running gives you about 320 still on the roads.

Apart from my own I've seen 1 on UK roads this year if you ignore the Castle Combe meet.

Blimey ... out of 10 years of NSX production that is not many on the roads.
No wonder they are a rare sight !

I guess that is why they hold thier re-sale value, due to the fact that they are rare and that you would own something that nobody in your same neighborhood would have.

Are many NSX's being grey imported from Japan these days?

I own a uk-spec Supra and I know that they were sold in low(ish) numbers totalling 400 UKmodels from 1993 to 1996. But there are now loads of grey imports around which makes them a bit more 'common' than an NSX.

If yopu check the import sites you will rarely see an NSX advertised, unlike Mitsubishi GTOs etc. The reason is that the Japanese like thier NSXs and hold onto them so the price you can buy them over there makes them uneconomic to import to the UK.
