I have just finished fitting a set of McGard locking wheelnuts to The Goddess.As I put away the Torque Wrench one of those nasty "in the middle of the night" worries surfaced and I don't have the answer so here goes;
Locking wheelnuts (certainly McGard) are longer in length than OEM and therefore heavier.Will the fitting of a heavier nut throw the axle out of balance with the potensial for vibration or even worse,damage leading to failure.

With the weight being at the centre it is therefore nearly not classed as rotational weight.

They will throw the balance out less than adding anodised valve caps or even leaving plastic valve caps off.

Thank you Simon, it's allways a relief when such niggles can be disregarded.
