How much does your local Honda dealer charge for working on a Honda NSX?

When I had my thermostat replaced I think taht the labour came to about £20 - £25!!!

Don't know how long it took them to do it but the replacement job was a standard quoted cost and once the coolant and part were removed from the bill it looks like all they got was just over £20!

Had my front discs skimmed as well and that came to £90. This was again a standard price for any skimming of discs but the guys said that they spent hours on them because they were so much bigger and harder than standard.

Skimming disks is like making love to a beautiful woman, you need to start at the right speed and maintain constant motion for a smooth finish.

I am being charged £37 to fit a thermostat which is about 30mins work. However the price is fixed so if it takes all day I will drink them completely out of coffee and pay nothing extra :D

So an hour of his time working on an NSX is more costly than an hour working on a Jazz, yep that's all clear now :D

Chatham's Edinburgh about £47/hr...and they have applied discounts to parts too. Top guys. Seem enthusiastic to work on an NSX.....I cannot see the logic in charging more because of the type of car!! Unless NSX technician is paid more?

When I first bought my car I took a trip to McGarrity Honda in Belfast as they were an NSX Specialist and I asked tham how much it would cost to go over the car and not to repair anything but to tell me all the faults that it had. Just to look at it they were asking for £55 per hour. Hence why I do all the work myself!!!.

....I have found that if you have a choice of two or more garages you would trust to do the work, they will quote against each other for the work especially in quieter periods. Obviously useful for the larger jobs.
