HI All,
I keeping with what seems to be my tradition of starting a thread that gets a few objective responces,
Gauge pods and extra gauges?
Your thoughts guys?
Personally I like to know as much info as possible that way if somethig is going wrong, it's easier to spot, gauges like oil temp, air fuel mix etc. There seems to be a million after market gauges on the market that will tell you all sorts of stuff.
Jim
Unless is something like what Kevin or Darren have ( secluded or OEM look ) is chav.
My car had a lovely Stack St8130 dash, but I'll rather have the OEM cluster.
Just my 0.2 p.
Cheers,
AR

Jim,
For my 2p's worth .... take Ary's advise and go for as OEM a look as you can. Buy yourself the Nav Pod and fit the guages (like Darren has) or replace the console using a blank template and install to suit.
A pillar mounting is for 200SX or Prelude (wait for it, Simon P will be on my case for that last reference)

Hmmmmmmmmmm,
Well I am hoping to get a nav pod at some time, but for a nav system (pioneer AVIC-HD1BT,if that will fit in the nav pod) and a carbon console, which will obviously be blank as no oem stereo, so I suppose I could fit 1 or 2 gauges there??
Any thoughts on that?
Cheers Jim

Nothing wrong with that comment, very chav and all too common on the Preludes.
This is more my kind of thing.

Jim, keep an eye on the Procar thread as Detlef is currently making console and nav pod in CF - quality should be top notch based on his other products. Not sure if he is leaving the console blank or preformed to OEM layout.
Simon,
What car are the guages installed into, looks very good.

Using high quality, highly accurate Nordskog digital gauges, Rick’s radio door gauge cluster enables you to monitor four engine/mechanical functions of your choice.

Thanks Paul, that does sound a bit more like what I am after, I guess they will be like the ones available from SOS/ Dali?
I certainly keep an eye on those threads though.

I used a VDO gauge. It looks pretty close to the other standard gauages with a red needle. The light at night is also orange.
Look in my 'mods' section for how I fitted it.

And also here

where I changed the ashtry placement to up where the radio used to be.
Note, fitting a gauge in the ashtray will mean not being able to see it, when in 5th.

HI Kevin
I remember seening your posts a while back, good work ith the speakers.
I'd like to go for digital gauges, I think it's the gadget freak in me, but I think the way you went with the colour coordinated gauge would also look good.
