anyone out there dabbled with one of these Type-R 'hoods' for the pop up lights?

if anyone has one be interested to see pics / hear comments ... personally would only entertain one colour matched to the bodywork ...
ummmmm

I personally think showing off carbon fibre is a bit crass, stepping towards Max Power-ness.
Got the Type R bonnet/spoiler on it's way though. Will see how it looks bare on our black NSX, if it looks crap will get them painted.
well i luv the carbon look i think it sets it off
thx amo

I agree with you Paul, only if it's painted. The partially painted one on SOS's old Zanardi looks good though.

Paul, would be interested to see how it looks when installed.
Rob, which hood have you chosen, SOS or other?
I think that it may work with just a tinted clearcoat to darken it but still reveal the CF in some lighting conditions - see attached
On the lighter colours I think it should be painted (at least on the outside).

I agree partial paint but probably only on black or magnum cars.
That black pic you have looks great Paul... apart from those wheels - why would anyone in their right mind get oversized split rims with a chrome lip and a gold centre piece;)

Yeah, black looks very sexy on the facelifts.
The NSX will get getting a SoS bonnet, yes.

What did they rush you for shipping it Rob, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm afraid it wouldn't be of much use to you as it was for 5 items. To ship it all is $550.

thanks for input guys.
Well - if anyone out there decides they're going to get one of these please let me know - could share the shipping ... this might be all the incentive I need to convince me I really need one - I'm currently only 60% of the way there ;-)
Also interesting to see on their site that you can keep the space saver in with this ... are they sure !?

I have ponderd something similar, maybe not necesarily with the carbon fibre bit, but I'v certainly thought about the vented bonnet with the internal air guide thingy to imperove cooling.
