Not sure of my IQ, but I'm told I'm quite clever, but not clever enough!

Cheers James  :D  :D

PS. By the way any1 going to the Japfest from the North West or will be passing thru en-route, convoy maybe? & I do'nt bite !

Hi guys, does that mean gold members have special powers?! to make amendments that mere mortals green members like me don't !? The poll idea sounds interesting, any suggestions out there? maybe NSXrookie? or LongJamesSilver?, I can't have silversurfer as its taken, does that fellow member have a silver car or is that a stupid question! Maybe something with Sebring as its the NSX's colour? I'm open 2 suggestions, this could be fun!! :D

Nope,

Just a Marvel fan and a snowboarder. NSX is red.

Hmm not sure TheQuietOne will approve of that;)

What about SebringKingofDingaLing?
Or SKODAL if it doesn't let you have that many letters, if you don't like it you could always drop the "L"!

Wish I was off on my hol's!

Oh my username isn't such a mystery, on one of the first few NSX meets I went on (at Silverstone) a chap with a yellow/black X who I have met more than once and still don't know his name, ironically said, when we were saying our usernames (mine was my car reg back then), 'oh you're the quiet one' and I quite liked it!

I'll let Luke elaborate on my 'realworld' nickname if he dares!

I'm on commission from Honda - once Luke had spent the back half of a summer in my NSX he had to have one, and to his eternal credit he now has, coming on for a year this summer (and she's a 3.2)!

P.S. Targa's are so much less rigid any descering driver wouldn't touch one (run for cover Seninnha and The Papa incoming) ;)

Matt,my so called hols 2 spain is'nt exactly normal, driving 2the big smoke frm Mancr, meet our kid & partner, fly to Granada, then container full of furniture, lighting, tools & kitchen arrives next wk & hey presto, I 'm putting in a kitchen in a house reform or renovation 2 us brits, plus 25-30 lights, bit of painting! Said I help my sister as I get 2 use the hse 4 free! Its 26c & will be stuck inside!! I await papa & senninha bombardment, but I agree Y get a drivers car with extra 120/150 kgs of xtra strenghtening & lost rigidity !! Thats Y my X is a fixed coupe, not Coldplay !! How tall is Luke? :D

Mmmm, not so quiet when the Targa debate is in the air. Did you mean to write Discerning?

Definitions of discerning:

having or revealing keen insight and good judgment; as a 3.2, my Targa benefits from the factory upgraded chassis stiffness equal to the coupe with the roof in place
unobtrusively perceptive and sympathetic; Whilst stuck under your hot tin roof, Targa owners can enjoy the benefits of open top motoring
a kind and apprehensive friend; a well driven and sympathetically modified 289bhp to your err, much lower performance ;)
able to make or detect effects of great subtlety; discerning taste; a discerning eye for color - Magnum Pearl Targa, fabulous! Looking forward to seeing you at Japfest (far behind in the rear view mirror)

Hi, Did'nt mean 2 open a debate on fixed v targa, should have really thought of the implications 1st?! No offence Paul. I do have 2 say ur X lined up with the jet fighter (Tornado?) is very impressive & ur 1st place in the roll test, which I enjoyed watching lastnite. Plus you colour is fab, how many were made in that grey? :D Re Japfest, if I wear just a pair of boxers, fold my mirrors in & lower my ariel & u put ur roof in the engine, maybe we might b evens ?! Grovelling James

Beggars can't be choosers when it comes to buying Xs and I was lucked to find a 3.2 at all! I would love a Targa, if one comes up and I have a spare 25-30k I'll get it then think about selling mine

As I've said before Paul, we all know that 'modding is cheating' and of course your T will be quicker than mine...you have £50k worth of CF wing mirrors so yours has to be faster....;)

Everyone knows my love of the Targa, I just enjoy how touchy you all are about it....I'm sure you and James have that little spiel saved permanently on your clipboards...:D:p

James, there's no offence taken and thanx for the compliments about the NSX. This is a bit of fun that pops up fom time to time. It usually revolves around Targa's not being pure NSX, Matts' underpowered 3.0, err, sorry, 3.2 ;) and my 'addiction' to CF. Trust me, we're all good friends here as far as I'm concerned and maybe, as we draw you into some of the banter, we can persuade you to pop a few extra miles on your X??

All the Best, Paul

Ha,

It doesn't matter if your car is a targa or not.

Everyone knows the early cars without power steering, and lightest chassis are the best.

Guess I should add a ;) .

I read on Prime that the later targas are siffer than the early 3.0 litre FHC.

Personally I don't care anymore, I'm just happy when everything works.

Cheers,

James.

Wow guys, did'nt know a small piece of 2 x 4 foot bit of roof cud cause such debate & banter! but have learnt 1 thing, if u don't mention it,then it's no fun! Well wot else can I provoke a threadfest with now? uuuumm
I must own up & say I love the look of a targa, whether its tin top or targa its still an X & yes unassisted steering is still the best feel like the Type R. Sadly? I also own a late Fiat X1/9 & the steering is amazing ! Here we go again, another stampede of banter! Bring it on ! (yes I've heard the bit that its a poor mans Ferrari in the 70/80's).Off 2 big smoke 2moro, then Espana Sat,so adios & c u in 10 days ! :D
