I am considering visiting the ring in late June. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions?
Thanks

In general:
-Just as always when goiing on track, keep your senses, do not try to exceed your driving abilities.
Nordschleife specific:
-it is a very long and difficult track with lots of (half) blind corners, don't even TRY to go fast the first time you visit as in many situations you won't know/remember what corner comes next.
-if for the first time, try to drive when the weather is dry. If you can, don 't drive early, better after 11.00am or so, as earlier possibly some more shaded/covered parts of the track will be wet/slippery. Usually after 11.00 things will have dried up.
-keep safe distance from the motorbikes, you might find that in the corners you will feel blocked by them, is annoying, but will probably be unable to overtake them on the straights. They quite often fall/slide off the track and you won't want to hit one falling in front of you.
So in general: drive sensible and look in the rearvieuw mirrors all the time as you will probably be passed a lot by other more experienced drivers.
Have fun:cool:

I would recommend thoroughly reading this website, it has all the do's and dont's about/on the 'Ring, including some tips about first aid training (important as it is German law that if you are the first on the scene of an accident you must offer assistance!)
other than that, rsevo6 has got the right idea, slowly slowly until you get a better idea for the track, and the main thing is to have fun!
