Starting bid £40, buy it now £80 the pair.

Have asked seller a question re age of tyres and will let you know.

I wander how old the tyres are? since the seller stated they originally cost about £88 each, would have thought at least £100 to £120 each!?

The reply I have from seller is he has had them 1 year, I have asked for DOT code to verify.

The last OEM RE010's I purchased were less than that.

Well £40 would be a bargain, but in my experience those tires are lethal in the wet!

Are the Yokos on Ebay recommended for the X & are they OEMs? you said your last RE010s fronts were less than £88 each, seems a bargain, where u get em frm? I changed rears to RE010s last yr £240.00 a pair, are rears alot more than fronts as I have OEM Dunlops on the front, but will need changing IDC, so I can match up with rears! If they are lethal in the rain, suppose they're not OEMs?

I suppose most people don't drive their X's in the rain, or even the winter for that matter - probably more of an issue for 'daily drivers' like me TBH.

I can't get hold of RE010's anymore, running RE040 / RE050 at the moment, can get a set of 4 for around £300 fitted.

R RE010s now deleted or hard 2 get hold off? I assume RE040 for fronts and RE050 for rears ? Wud u say this combo is better than all RE010s combo in the past for all round performance:rolleyes:

The news from Bridgestone Europe is deleted.
The RE040/50 are F/R like you say.
They seem comparable to RE010's not pushed them hard yet but seem more stable and predictable than the F1's that I was running.

I'm sure u will find out at the Japfest track session !!:D Who supplies your yokos? Is that it! U will not be trying Goodyear's F1s again?

I doubt I'll have the F1's again, might have a pair of part worn rears for sale soon.

For anyone interested in the Yokohama tyres on ebay they were produced in the 31st week of 2002.

So are nearly 5 years old.

If they have been stored properly then there is no problem using them. Also can I say that I have A043's mixed with RE050's and they have not been lethal in the wet or dry.

Having said that I am thinking of the 40/50 combo next rather than F1's more because of the sidewall strengths compared to the original 010's.
