Window alignment

Has anyone here ever re-aligned their windows? I have found that the drivers side has shifted and is rubbing the pillar slightly. After a bit of searching there is a very detailed thread on Prime. Norton want ~£50 and looking at that vs removing all sorts of irritating plastic self destruct fittings seems like no contest?

Anyone attempted the work before themselves or any techs on here want to tell me how easy it is ;)
